No prophecy love?
Personally I love a prophecy. Makes a great Heavy station tackler, looks cool as well. If you got a station hugging nub, Have your prophecy camp him.
Highs 6x FM pulse laser 2 amarr navy Multi 1 Heavy missile launcher 2 Cal navy Havoc Missile
Mids Sensor Booster t2 Scan resoultion script Fleeting Propulsion inhibitor (web) Warp disruptor 2
Lows 1600mm RRtungsten plate 2 EANM t2 1 DCU 2 remaining 2 lows you can go with 2 heatsinks/resist mods/ signal amps, backup arrays, a single t2 med rep w/e
Rigs W/E you want, but this is a cheapish setup so I used none
For the build I used 2 heat sinks and warrior 2s
EHP 63332 Volley 738 DPS 415 cap stable at 68%.
All in all not bad. Most people lol at prophecys, But they have their uses. Just make sure you got a high DPS wingman or 2 to come back you up once your opponennt gets done lolling at you and aggresses. With minimal Modification, you can make it a roaming bait ship as well.

This thread is a gold mine. Thanks to everyone chiming in. I would still love to see a Navy Omen fit for T2 pulses that has been successful as of late. Stuff I'm finding is old and not really in agreement: armor EHP buffer fits, rep & dual rep..

Stick 3 inertia stabilizers on a Harbinger and fly it like a cruiser... You will get far more bang for the buck than from the Navy Omen... Better damage, tank, bigger drone bay, almost the same align time... EFT it and see
My 2 ISK anyway.

Heh. These should be better. http://eve-search.com/thread/798565/page/1 http://www.eve-search.com/thread/907907/page/1 http://www.scrapheap-challenge.com/viewtopic.php?t=24473&sid=a8fcfc4c0f80cbbbfd4e73249308110c But the Harbinger still looks a better deal as it has the same bonuses to the Navy Omen (damage and cap) yet more fitting. I have extensively used the Harbinger in PVP and constantly been considering getting the Navy Omen, but it just does not make sense, except just for the fun of it.

While I can already get similar DPS and better tank off the Harbinger even with my current skills, tracking seems to be significantly better with NOmen's FMP IIs than Harbinger's HPL IIs. Combined with better maneuverability, it appears to give Navy Omen a big advantage agains the popular AF/Frig/Inty.
I'll skill BC to 4 and then will try the Harbi in the field.

This^^ Please dear GOD do NOT!! You will be broke in days tbh, actually you will not have enough ISKies to jump thru a gate if you pewpew in faction ships!!
You need MAD skills to even think about it, and i mean MAD skills 50-60 MIL+, Your new name will be "Primary" if you attempt before this
I have never pewpew in omen and nor will I, Harbinger is awsome ship for small gank/sometimes solo depending on fight, geddon his best all-arounder pewpew ship in amarr class imo. If you need good fits check out BC, Abby is pure slugfeast ship, Apoc good sniper!
I rock only Amarr ships and I have to be honest here, anything below BC kinda sucks cept Arbi of course and Maller for some situations. hth(hopes this helps) -Ara |

I'm beginning to really like the Harbi. Takes some skills to fit full T2 and is a bit unwieldy but it's dirt cheap for the wtfpwnage it can dish out.

While you are there you can do the same for the Maller and the Vengeance though I prefer blasters on the latter.
I'd definitely take a Punisher out first, then a Maller/Omen before the Harbinger. Just remember the T2 Pulse Lasers before you do.

If you are new to PVP I would highly suggest you fly Interceptors and Interdictors for your first 50 or so kills. You will learn a lot from this without risking too much. |
