OK. This is outrageous.
1 minute to load a mostly text page, 2 minutes to load a page with text and a handfull images. wtf?
Everytime i ask the customer service they just tell me its just that the server that hosts the page is slow, overloaded and bla , bla , bla ..... Well, hardly beleivable
I'd like to check how my ISP performs. Is there any tool for that?.
thanks in advance

If you live in the UK I did come across a bandwidth tester which I'm sure I can dig out. If not then google is your friend.

Thanks again for your answers.
I've made 2 tests in the www.bandwidthplace.com page
The first one gave me 20,7 kilobits/second and the second 28,2 with my 56 k connection
If you've made some of this ones ,please post here, just to know how slow or fast my connection is.

From www.bandwidthplace.com : 2.7Mbit/s
From tptest
tcp transmit : 2.54Mbit/s tcp receive : 9.49Mbit/s udp transmit : 9.72Mbit/s udp receive : 9.73Mbit/s
The tcp transmit is weird...

Edited by: Cetshwayo on 17/09/2004 20:50:37 I also have weird results. I used www.adslguide.org.uk and got a downstream spead of 60kb/s and an upstream of 159kb/s. Something is seriously wrong here. I live in Belgium btw and so fairly close to the UK.
On rare occasions (been about a month or so) the connection really flies. I can manage over 400kb/s easily when it's good but as I said. It's rare. Perhaps 3 or 4 times a year.
ISP is Belgacom/Skynet
