I have clocked my FPS in eve ot over 250 when docked. i have just noticed that it is not going above 60.00. I have not changed a thing, setting wise. Can some1 tell me y this is.

Is your TV/monitor over/equal to 250 hertz? If not, why are you whining?

I guess they've limited it to 60 FPS in station as they were getting reports of peoples graphics cards belching blue smoke of death when they stayed in station for a long time. This is why goon totally raeped kenzoku.

its abit poitless me havin 2x 9800gt cards in SLI mode now then. tks anyway.

Anything higer than about 40FPS wont make much of a noticible differance, with those cards you could multiscreen and multiclient. Or run eve and Tf2 at the same time

You bought an extra card and SLI'd them to generate extra frames that you'll never see? Without reading anything about it first? OK then...

as eve is not a twitch game you don't need to run faster than your frame rate
at least I don't have to tell everyone to run with esc | display and graphics | advanced | set present interval = one now

You have set some interval.
Besides, your monitor _*WILL NEVER*_ show anything above it's refresh rate. So having 250 fps will only generate excess heat, decreasing performance and lifespan of your system.

Thought the game FPS was capped @ 60 (outside of stations) no matter how badass your system is. Also anything over 60 I though was for the most part unnoticeable. Further more max fps isn't what you want... you want sustained FPS of over certain number depending on the game type. But you didn't ask that so see the first part of my statement.

I get around 200fps in space.. and close to 500 in station. and my card doesnt even heat up ><

Read here to see why enabling vsynch is bad for your game.
"There is however a more fundamental problem with enabling VSync, and that is it can significantly reduce your overall framerate, often dropping your FPS to exactly 50% of the refresh rate..."
So this is what will happen if your uncapped FPS drops below refresh (60Hz for example):
for 59-30FPS uncapped -> 30FPS with vsync on
for 29-15FPS uncapped -> 15FPS with vsync on
etc.
"As long as your graphics card can always render a frame faster than your monitor can refresh itself, enabling VSync will not reduce your average framerate."
In a large fleet battle environment is it almost a complete certainty that you will be losing a significant percentage of your framerate if vsync is enabled.
