Team fortress 2: best FPS game i have ever played.
Supreme commander 2: excellent RTS
Starcraft brood war: no comment should be necessary
Star Control 2: one of the best games of all time
Left 4 dead: guns and plenty of zombies to test them on
Baldurs gate 2: awesome
Quake 3: non-stop shooting fun
Wolfenstein enemy territory: even though the class&map balance is terrible, i still love this game.
X-com 1,2 and apocalypse: classic

No particular order.
World of Tanks - quick fix pvp
S.T.A.L.K.E.R - All of them are really quite excellent
X - Beyond the Frontier - This and its sequels are fun for when you want to make an empire without other bothersome humans destroying it. :)
X-Com - The original is still the best but looking forward to both the new iterations
Fallen Earth - Fun F2P MMO set in post apocalyptic Earth
Planescape Torment - BEST RPG EVER!
Elder Scrolls - Very good games, even better when you mod them to your personal preference
Elite - MANY hours spent playing this on my original rubber keys spectrum. :)
Frontier - Elite II - Bugged to hell but still a great game - Amiga version the best
Final Fantasy Series - 7 is the best for story but most of them are good fun
GTA series - SO looking forward to a new one!
And my favourite game HAS to be EVE - when its stable and CCP haven't broken it with a 'Feature' Patch. :( |

Battlefield 3, Sins of a Solar Empire, and the Fallout series would be my 3 top games outside of Eve.
Any Eve player that hasn't checked out Sins of a Solar Empire should. It's an RTS/4x hybrid that takes place in space. Multiplayer games can go from 2-5hours with no save, but in SP you can save. Most games are about 2hrs. No such thing as too much spaceship pew pew. |

Team Fortress 2... No idea why, but so damn addictive. Also the only FPS I've ever played, and probably will ever play xD
Kingdom Hearts Series... Great storyline, great characters... And a personal obsession :P
Starcraft II. Haven't played in ages, but I have to say that it WAS one of my favourites.
Trackmania (1&2, I like 2 more but don't own it :P) ...Idk, it's just... racing... xD
-Other general space RTS's... Homeworld, SoaSE, X3...
Touhou. (ZOMG LAZERS) ...hard as hell, but so much fun.
...But nothing beats the trusty addictive internet spaceships of EVE <3

But the game I have played most is Medieval Total War 2 so addictive, great strategy game, and I have many of the mods made by a fantastic community. Some mods can be very complex and games can take years!
The LotR mod Third age total war is also very fun!

i'm surprised a lot of you say TF2 and haven't tried Day of Defeat...
for me it's
starcraft 2
day of defeat
and the only game i'm waiting on is blizz titan, besides that i'm on eve. |

Nothing released in the last few years anyways, games have become so bad in the last few years.
Games that always spring to mind are golden oldies such as:
Sacrifice,
Giants: Citizen Kabuto,
The only game i play these days is Eve Online and even that is sparingly, i do miss my 16 hour days of pure gaming. |

World War II Online - Battleground Europe That one is a true test of skill. 100% PVP, like a giant paintball fight from France to Germany. Twitcher skill required, but more than that, smart use of terrain and patient hunting/stalking ability. |

I tried DoD since I got it with the orange pack (that I somehow got for free once). I will never play it again :)
