I have been going for a pirate corp to join, have little pvp experience, but know a lot of the mechanics of eve. I am self sufficient however, play mostly in minm space. Looking to do some butt kicking... anyone need an extra mate?

Go to your local lowsec, look for corps that have a good presence in your timezone and live there.
Talk to them, see if they're the type of people you want to lose ships with.
Check if they are recruiting and join them. Make sure to find out if they have logistics sorted or if you're gonna need to do it on your own.
Most pirate corps will often recruit a new player after they are sure it won't be a complete waste of their time training that person up.

What he said, although I'll add that the BEST way to get to know Pirates is to blow them up.
Dont whine, don't smack.
Prove to them that you aren't useless and then find out if they are recruiting- if they arent, ask them anyway. If you've made an impression they might make an exception, but generally speaking Pies are a tight knit group.

Both the Black Rabbits, and the Neo Spartans have training corps. Both would be a good place to start if you're semi-new to PvP, and the main corps are p good too.

Park your ship up in a belt in low sec for a couple of minutes, *new mates* will come to you.
I'm a carebear but I have been assured that pirating is a hard life and not all swashbuckling glamour like Jack Sparrow tryÆs to make out. It takes nerves of steel, the cunning of a fox, the willingness to not go for a bio break and to pee in a beer can (or rum bottle) instead. You will live in poverty and fight your mates for the choicest loots.
You will receive ugly hate mails that threaten to rip your head off and stuff poo down your neck while questioning the origins of your father.
Are you sure you want this?

Fraudulent Imitation are recruiting, a small pirate corp, that is piracy as a whole.
So if you love PvP and dont mind your security status being very low, then drop me a convo in-game

These kind of threads pop up here now and then. I havn't seen something similar in CAOD or the carebear sections.. well, as others pointed out, pirates tend to recruit in a different manner. The numbers game is different in the 0.0 and industrial world. - I'd tell you why but then I'll have to kill you. And to kill you I'd have to log in. And to log in I'd have to stop browsing these forums. Both you and me knows that'll never happen. |

Edited by: NeoTheo on 03/06/2009 15:15:03 take a look around at the killboards for pirate corps, then there recruitment topics and adverts, pick carefully.
one guy applied to DAMT a few weeks ago (was a none pirate wanting to try it), didnt get back to us,
then 1 week laters he is posting "OMG HOW DO I GET MY SEC STATUS BACK UP".
i can only assume he made a bad choice of corp, and got one that didnt help its members. Learning to be a pirate is possibly one of the most rewarding things in the game, its also one of the hardest to deal with at first.
Choose wisly.
Quoting Red cause he speaks the truth.
