hi cat here
i was thinking earlier about corpses and the idea made me a little sad really. they don't even do anything in game. i know from spending some of my time defending rancer that pirates like to say they are 'mining corpses' but really for why? not like they can do anything with them :(
i dread to think what the united do with the 70+ corpses of me they have :(((( QQ
i was trying to find more information about the subject when i noticed the trinity patch notes, and ccp are all pleased as punch that they made corpses have a gender! this is just cruel behaviour from a company that should know better!!
corpses do nothing except show someone died which is so negative imo. eve should focus more on positive things like kindness and sharing.
what are your thoughts? i'm listening.

Cat you are very wrong about corpses. They provide me with many hours of..... enjoyment. And when I am done extracting my pleasure from them, I resurrect them into Zombies that shamble around the station I live in, slowly rotting as I build my Zombie army to destroy all of New Eden (the smell is wonderful, please come for a visit, we will have tea and crumpets!)!!!
I think I have one of your clone corpses come to think of it... nope I was wrong, it's my own. hmm now i'm getting all..... um I need to go. See you later!

CCP had plan to introduce implant extracting from corpses (chance based, similiary to salvaging) but they didn't do that so far.
...and why EVE should focus on positive things?

Getting 'Bio-materials' or whatever from them, and being able to manufacture implants with them would be cool, base the amount of bio-materials on the clone grade and implants that the character had (so it's definatly not profitable to pod 900,000k sp clone alts.)

I'm collecting dead bodies like ammo for when the undead are to awaken and take over the verse. Most people know this time as being called "ambulation" (walking in stations). But, in fact, it is really the beginning of the end for everyone living :)

RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE has a corp hangar for corpses.. "Necro.. corpses mwuahaha".
When we get camped into a station we crack a rib, light some fat and gnaw on the flesh. You seen the movie of the people that crashed in the mountains, southamerica? They survived eating their dead friends?
Corpses are good, mkay? - I'd tell you why but then I'll have to kill you. And to kill you I'd have to log in. And to log in I'd have to stop browsing these forums. Both you and me knows that'll never happen. |

Kindness and sharing??? Are we talking about the same EVE here? Are we talking about the game where scams are encouraged and the motto is "You died, learn to suck less"???
**** that. EVE is about learning to not die. I want more corpses. I collect them. Why? Who knows. I like to set them up into little tea parties mimicking Alice In Wonderland. It tends to be hard, though. You have to know exactly how much to defrost them in order to get the positioning just right right, otherwise the smell starts in.
PS I would pay 5 mil for one of Cat's corpse.

I look forward to a day when there will be living spacecraft - such as from the LEXX series. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lexx
Quote: The Lexx is a bio-engineered, Manhattan-sized, planet-destroying bioship in the shape of a giant wingless dragonfly. It was grown by ingesting organ collections from the protein bank on the Cluster, the seat of the Divine Order, for use by His Divine Shadow. The Lexx was originally intended as the ultimate deterrent: the threat of a weapon that could instantly obliterate any planet would keep the remaining "Heretic" worlds of the Light Universe in line, and those that refused to capitulate would be summarily destroyed to reinforce the point. This plan was foiled when the crew commandeered it to escape from the Cluster.
Of course the Lexx was, for the most part, a 5 mile long titan with a doomsday device. However in the first Lexx movie, the ship was raised on a steady conveyor belt of human bodies.
Now, what game, most often associated with carebearism, has a feature where you can eat your opponent? Yes, WOW. If you are undead, you can feed on your defeated opponent to regain energy.
It would be soooo "EVE(il)icious if we had living ships that fed on corpses and required a diet of them to stay alive. Anad it would be even greatear benefit if you could be skilled in sifting through the ships poop to implants (you would hvae to wash it first).
Are you watching, Devs? I am no ganker but hey, give this feature a thought because I just know the Gank Patrols will love this one and it would, I must admit, be really cool.

I like Female corpses. I like to arrange them in the hangar and pretend they all love me.
But sometimes they just won't stop laughing at me. I can't make them stop. Then I have to go out and get new ones who will love me.

All you people keeping your corpses locked up in station should be reported to PETC (or is it PETZ?). Me personally I like to let them get out, see the sights, get a breath of "fresh" air. Make a jet can, drop a few corpses in it, lock, tractor and go for a walk. Just make sure that you name the can appropriately. Corpses do appreciate these little things that you do for them.
On that note... maybe I should include dinner and flowers for my "special" corpse.... Are there even dinner and flowers in game? ...hmmmm....

Use for clones: Lowsec profession in illegal biomass reclamation and unlawful implant production.
Clones get categorized by three attributes, depending on their 'origin': Biomass Quality (clone level), Attribute Level (attribute implants) and Hardwiring Level (skill hardwiring). Those three attributes get crossed on a table and result in the 'loot' table for biomass reclamation when a biomass analyzer module is used on a corpse.
Items gained from corpses this way can be used to produce new implants from blueprints bought from pirate factions (contraband in highsec). Required is a POS structure, a Cybernetic Manufacturing Array (or something other fancy).
There. Something to do with clones and something to add to lowsec. -------- Ideas for: Mining

The possibilities are endless. |
