Eventually the dog will salivate when the bell is rung. For the last number of patches, the CCP news generating team has done marvellous work generating news items that compliment or explain, in game changes. Especially during patch down time, the sequence of news items makes waiting for the patch release to complete all the more exciting. However, in the last few days the following news items have appeared: Khanid 1st Fleet Crosses Imperial Border, Meets Amarr Navy King Khanid II Arrives in Tash-Murkon Prime, Met by Catiz Tash-Murkon King Khanid II Departs Tash-Murkon Prime, Arrives in Amarr Empress Jamyl I Meets with King Khanid II Royal Heirs Called to Amarr Prime: Privy Council to Hold Emergency Session Ok, I'm salivating. Is there a patch coming that I missed or is CCP just confirming Pavlov's reflex? If no patch is coming, can someone from CCP please check the Quafe in the news generating department to confirm its normal?

I'm drooling too Yes true, but the signal to noise ratio is highest during patch time. The signal to noise ratio is high now, which is why I question - is it patch time already?

Generally yes there is alot more NPC news with patches, but not always. This could be a sign of an upcoming patch, or it could be that the writers finally got off of their coffee break. We shall see.

Whenever some high representative is traveling around on foreign business, they tend to get assassinated, lol. Too often used in movies and games and stuff. -------- Ideas for: Mining

While Abrazzar does have a point, for me it has more to do with slight paranoia along with the recognition that New Eden is a ruthless place, and that it seems like the worst thing that could happen. Also there is a underlying desire to see Khanid reach it's full potential as an independant, and fully leave the umbrella of the Amarr Empire. If King Khanid had been assassinated then it would have excelerated things. Also given that I work for Khanid agents I would love to see some Navy Ships in our lp store :p

I don't think so but the rumour thats in the RP channel is that he may marry Lady Tash-Murkon (I didn't start the rumour - I'm just spreading it)

It would also create a rather large power block within the Empire. I have been reading a History on the war of the Roses and cant help but consider what the consequences of what such a merger might be. Perhaps though, Empress Jamyl feels very secure in her power.
