After searching for a Pirate Faction Battleship to train for, I noticed that the only faction pair missing from the ships was Amarr/Gallente. All of the other factions have ships paired with them (i.e. Gallent/Minmatar, Amarr/Caldari, etc.). I am origionally Gallente and was trying to figure out which faction I would side train. Amarr seemed appropriate due to the fact that Gallente and Amarr are predominantly armor tanking factions.
So, the big question is... can/should there be an Amarr-Gallente Pirate Faction Battleship? Perhaps there could be bonuses to Energy Turrets and Drones, or Energy Turrets and Armor. I feel it's a bit unfair to not have a Gallente-Amarr Pirate Faction Battleship.
What are your thoughts?
Also, if there are existing threads on this matter, please let me know. |

lol, it's funny that anyone would think to mix the ships of two races that are so diametrically opposed in every way.

Thats not the only one, there is not a Caldari/Minmatar mix. O god I want one, Shield resist bonus and auto cannon damage. +1 We need both.

something tells me those purdy ships that won the contests early this year will be made into knew pirate factions... tornado bonus to shield resist damage and optimal range.... biggest sub cap alpha ingame :)... plus in the PR stuff some caldari scientist defected to minmatar so its already in motion... |

The reason they don't is lorebased, seeing as how they oppose each other on every fundamental and ethical value I can't really see them coperating to build a ship of epic win. |

I think you are mising the point.
The existing ship crossovers dont belong to the main empires they belong to pirate factions which have a history and background. These new ships would belong to new factions. For these new ships to come into being some new pirate or independent factions would need to come into being.

Like I mentioned in the New Ships thread, emergent pirate factions or "skunk works" defected engineers collaborations would be pretty cool.

Ammatars being infiltrated by a minitar agent, and selling information to gall space would work nicely .
both lore wise and would make a decent multi part ingame story.

Look up the Ixion it could be a nice gallente/amarr boat
other ships are cool and have been asked by people on the crowdsourcing
There are other ships in the game that are not used but still assets in missions, like the Ixion
I dearly hope this post at least works.
