This is the 3rd time this has happened.
I take a mission that wants me to find/loot/return some item, usually a ship log, to the agent. I go in, kill everything, loot everything, and no shiplog in site. This happens -all- the time. Is it some type of bug? It took me a good 3 hours to finish clearing and looting everything. Is it possible that the item drops off a ship, then decays with the shipwreck after 2 hours? If so that's ******ed.
Any way to fix this? |

the items are usually in a cargo container, make sure they are on your overview. they look like diamonds.
or sometimes you have to blow up a structure in the mission deadspace. if you have type on your overview it usually is easy to pick out as it will have a funny looking name. |

If its dropped by a npc ship its usually the last or one of the last ships,to prevent them from being destroyed due to time limit.. |

Edited by: Loc Maythan on 06/06/2009 10:58:05 As mentioned, it could be that you are not destroying a particular structure, or that you don't have jetcans displaying on your overview - it can sometimes be difficult to see one floating in space without the overview to help.
It is also possible that the item you need is in one of the wrecks - pay particular attention to wrecks of 'transports' if there are any.
One clue to watch for is the Journal icon - it should start to flash when everything that you need to complete the mission is available. When it starts flashing, there is a good chance that the item drop has just occurred, and you should check whatever you have just destroyed. To make this more obvious, keep the mission briefing minimised (don't close it) - when the mission objectives are all available, this window will open in a fairly obvious way.
Finally, check your mission here.

Edited by: Refeni Surpala on 06/06/2009 19:25:28 The same thing happened me earlier, I was asked to return some Marines I think. They are supposed to drop from a transport ship.
After I killed the transport ship I saw the cargo container in my overview settings for a split second then it disappeared. I had to fail the mission and take a standings hit.
I have cargo containers enabled in my overview and a scan showed none within a 1m Km range.
