Hello!
Anyone got experience with this and could tell me what the optimal client setups are, if its even possible to do that?
Currently I run only 2 clients in windowed mode with Eve Launcher on 2 TFTs. 3rd Client (Orca Alt) would run in the Background, while the other 2 chase roids in their Hulks.
My system: Core 2 Quad, Q6600 on an ASUS P5K-Pro GeForce 9800GTX 4 Gig RAM Win XP |

Certainly possible, with every client taking up 400MB of RAM each. Should have no problem with it.
Only problem i can forsee is your CPU maxing out on one core and it not using the other cores. I generally found that Vista and up handled multi core much better. Also the new nvidia drivers take advantage of multi core.
Ensure that no client is over 2 windows sicne that will kill performance and keep each client on a single window. ------------------------------------- Read my bio ingame for tips on how to live and not be called nasty names by me. |

Or just use MultiCore Optimizer if you have multicores and it will be fine. |

Thanks for the advices, it works pretty good with this Optimizer.
I turned down most of the graphics stuff but it still looks good.
Thank you.

I am playing 4 clients on a machine with:
- Vista 32 - NVidia 8800 GTX - 2G RAM
It is not viable for combat but I can:
- watch market and setup orders on character 1, while character 1 is missioning (ie start shooting on big ship, send drones on smaller, restore market window and trade in peace
- mine in the mission with hulks on characters 2 and 3
- haul the minerals out of the mission space with character 4.
Slowdown can happen if you enter places like Recon 1/3 second room, where there are lots of roids and a fog effect, but usually it's smooth enough.
