I'm a director of an old corp, FREE Explorer, Founded 2003.09.14
But the alliance history only goes back to 10/2007. Is this true for everyone? I know seeing a corp's alliance history was a later added feature, too.
Also, was alliances in at launch?

Alliances have been implemented later on and was not one of the starting features of EVE. Alliance history came way later, and the data of alliance changes from corporations simply is not present before this feature has been introduced (at least I suspect so, as there hasn't been a reason to collect it before). Rebuilding this from logs was probably not worth it (understandably imho).
The same counts for the employment history of characters, which also only starts a few weeks after the game went live and is also not a feature that has been in when EVE started. |

I also hate that you have to set a specific corporation's standings in order for the entire alliance to be affected...and the standings tab is broken for alliances... 
I'm guessing later implementation is the reason some histories say "Unknown"? |

Ah, I was curious how he could be playing as long as he has and not know the answers to those questions :p
