Is anyone else really sick of how some of the text in the game is delayed in that typewriting style where you have to sit there and wait for it to print out on screen? When looking at my character sheet for instance. Or like how your wallet balance climbs up to its total when you open the wallet window?
That stuff is total bull****. We're in outer space with hella fast computers. When I do an information query, I want that information NOW. This isn't 1985 when computers were freaking slow.
What a stupid and pointless stylistic flourish. It's not immersive. It's annoying. |

agreed tbh. loading up the character sheet is just excruciating when i'm trying to see what amount of SP I have or what my sec status is. |

Thank you. Great to see I'm not THAT far out there.
I can appreciate what they're trying to do, but these are functions we use day in day out. It's not like occasionally pulling up a dossier on a monochrome monitor from some Interpol database in an 80s movie. |

Except, that doesn't exist.
Inbox settings:
- Default access: Allowed
- CSPA charge : 0
Character Sheet settings:
- Only show 'current'/'ones I can train' / 'all'
- high light partially trained skills
- Only toggle one skill group at a time
Nothing in General settings either regarding balance delay.
- Show intro movie next login
- show session timer
- reboot client

- generate character pictures

Open your wallet, then click the settings tab.

The one that ****es me off is the top of the character sheet, when I want to see how many skill points i've got or whatever. Just get rid of the delay, ffs. |

oddly enough, we made the character sheet info text display immediately last week and added clone home station and clone grade to that info as well on our internal development servers.
It will be some time before it hits tranquility as we literally changed the code a few days ago but rest assured its been given some love and will arrive eventually in a future patch.

i like the wallet one, it looks nice and is quick, the character sheet on the other hand is long and painful. I am grateful it is being fixed :P

i find the wallet one kinda nifty as it adds to the suspense of my wallet having just flashed and the tool tip having not updated yet
and so that second or 2 of it counting up is exiting to me :P
char sheet on the other hand.....well, im indifferent...dont open it to often to read that stuff |

Come back and say the same thing when it's taking over 20 seconds to get the total displayed

The delay is due to the limitations of the game engine and Excel database.

Dunno what you're talking about, my character sheet opens instantly and there are no delays with text. The wallet on the other hand does count from 0 to whatever isk is there

Personally I'd like to see an option that allows us to delete the bloody evemails we get from corp members. Is there any reason WHY only a CEO/Officer can delete corp wide mails that go to everybody, clog up your evemail box and make it difficult to figure whats new and what isn't when you have to slide down 50k frickin eve mails just to find the new one?
The mail was sent to everybody so each individual player should have the option to remove it from HIS/HER/IT mailbox (and only his/her/it) Like a normal mail client.
Just shoddy, sloppy, lazy code work in my not so humble opinion. LAZY coders do LAZY coding.

You are kidding right?
There is a massive savings on the database as only 1 copy of the mail has to be stored, I coudnt't imagine in some of the larger corps how much excess storage it would take for everyone to have a copy.
I assume there is *some* way to make it possible with a single copy of the mail. however it's largely irrelevant as your CEO/Directors should be keeping the mail tidy in the first place. |

Some people gets lots of mail that opening the mailbox will freeze you for a good period of time or crash the client.
