Edited by: Marik Starsong on 09/06/2009 00:13:52 I'm brand new, just off the career arcs (no, I'm not on a trial, I have a full account) and am looking for a corp to call a home.
What I am:
- 43 year old experienced gamer, including running my own guilds
- Busy with real life, but like to game when I can
- Inexperienced noob with Eve
- Not afraid of PvP, but realize it's not the only thing out there
- Not afraid to punch someone in the nose, blow up their ship and pod them if they are obnoxious
What I'm not:
- 100% carebear. I don't cry emo tears and nerd rage when I get a ship blown out from underneath me.
- Dedicated or fixated on an end-goal
- One-dimensional
What I'm looking for:
- A mature group of gamers who can show me the ropes
- A group who realizes RL is important and doesn't live to be logged on
- A balanced mix of industrial, PvP ops, mining, etc. I'm not sure what I want to do as yet, so I'm looking to experience the whole enchilada
- A group who doesn't have egregious taxes or enforce crazy online times (I have a wife and I work hard, so game time is definitely slotted in the "extra" category).
- A group of people who are fun and have a good sense of humor, who don't take things seriously and are out to have a good time.
What I'm not looking for:
- pirates
- kids
- drama
- 100% carebear (hey, even if I'm a miner or a hauler in fleet mining ops, I expect to be checking my six and hearing the chatter from the CAP pilots)
- 100% PvP (I like the industrial/mining aspect too)
- handouts - I'm perfectly willing to pull my own weight and I don't need someone to spoonfeed me. Help is fine and appreciated but I'm not looking for a free ride either
I have vent and a *working* microphone, I'm on a mac (if that matters). I have interests in every facet of the game I've seen thus far except piracy. Not even remotely interested in it. I'm willing to mine, haul, do some roaming PvP, fly combat air patrol for mining fleets, explore w-space and nullsec, build stuff and blow stuff up. Ideally, the corp will have some nullsec ops, explore some wormhole space, do some mining ops, gank a few wartargets ideally all while having a good time. I don't mind the politics, but I'd rather be a soldier than a general and let someone else worry about the politics. I'm allergic to drama.
Please let me know if you are interested in signing me up or if you have pointers to a good corp. EveMail is probably best (Marik Starsong) but I'll do my best to check back here frequently in case you'd rather reply in this thread.
Thanks!

New Eden Regimental Navy is looking for a few good pilots to come join us in high sec operations.
Currently we run missions and do mining operations out of the Badi area and are looking to head Null Sec in 4-6 months at most.
Corp offers Orca supported mining ops, pay system for miners/haulers, support for missioner in the way of fleets and modules and cheap ships. Additonally the corp has an active exploration group, and we are developing a PVP/Defense Wing to support and protect our miners
We also have an active alliance known as the Rebel Alliance of New Eden (RANE) and a corp/alliance website located here: NERN Portal which contains our corp pay system for miners, forums, and teamspeak server information, additionally we have private wiki and a live news feed for corp/alliance events.
Here is a little Q&A:
Where is your HQ, and which systems do you usually mine in?
We are currently working out the Badi area out in Khanid region; we have corp offices located in Ashi as the office prices in Badi got really stupid.
How long are your ops, and about how much m3 do you mine per op?
Op length with vary depending on how people feel. As an orca pilot too it gets really boring sitting there providing bonus' and just pulling cans in. But average op length is 4 hrs. The amount of M3 pulled per op varies but usually 2 and a half freighter full.
How do you distribute earnings after an op is over, particularly if I was using an orca?
We use the mining buddy system; this has been heavily modified and improved by a local tech guru and contains a weighted payout system based on ship type as well as a invoicing system for selling raw ore independently mined. All of which are exclusive to our version. Due to the extensive changes to the system it is now known as LooneyÆs Corp Buddy.
Additionally, LCB works off of raw ore giving the corp a better profit margin and the ability to make cheap ships for people. Ore prices are set by the CEO and are 25% below the highest sale order on the market so that selling us raw ore is worth it.
Do you manufacture at all or are the minerals just sold directly to stations?
All ore is used in the production of ships/modules for the corp/market.
Do you do any mission running?
You will find people run missions daily in corp. There is always a fleet up of missioners, just need to ask. The goal of our missioners is to get the corp standings up high enough for a high sec pos in Khanid space.
How old is the corp and do you think it will be around for a while? Most of the mining corps I've joined closed almost instantly, or within a month. :(
New Eden Regimental Navy is over a year old. The leadership staff is too stubborn to give it up. At one point we had three active members but maintained and started profiting. Now NERN is sitting at nearly 80 toons roughly 68 actual people.
What's your average age?
Average age of the corp is about 20-30. We have one youngin cause he's cool and very talented when it comes to eve and people on up into their 40's. Additionally we are not a corp of noobs. We have players from alpha times on up.
Do you mine in wormholes, hidden belts or low sec, or do you plan on doing it eventually?
With the continued growth of exploration in corp it seems as though daily we are getting hidden belts to mine, combat sites to clear and worm holes to jump. Though we rarely go for the worm holes but that may change.
CEO is posting from work; replay to post or go our forum. Or join our pub chat in-game NEW NAVY.
Thanks,
Nelios Ran Chef Executive Officer New Eden Regimental Navy Member of Rebel Alliance of New Eden

Marik,
We are the Calderi Marine Corps, located out of New Caldari. From what I read, It appears that you would fit within our Corps perfectly. We are a fresh group of casual gamers that is currently trying to fill our ranks of mature players (30-40's) that are interested in all aspects of EVE (not just PVP). Feel free to contact Colonal Slade or myself if you want to join or chat. |

How about a mid sized corp with a POS based in 0.0 space off the Amarr border, belonging to a fairly decent sized alliance. Alliance has regular (read as nightly) 0.0 roaming gangs or gate camps and weekly large scale fleet actions (50+ ships). Corporation and Alliance run frequent 0.0 mining ops that require PVP ships as escort and we really could have used about 5 more pilots Sunday...
The corp is fairly balanced, with miners, industry, PVP and PVE pilots. Corp runs regular mining OPs and seemingly persistant level 4 missions with level 5 mission OPs becoming regular. About the only thing we don't support are pilots strickly interested in high sec carebear activities and we aren't involved in pirating.
Primarily players from Europe and USA time zones. Feel free to contact me if you are interested and we can discuss details in game. Wohlander |

We are very much about PVP but we understand if you want to do other things as well. But as a general guide line you need to show up to a few pvp OPs. Just show your face kinda thing you know.
What we offer:
- 0.0 PVP. - Ship replacement program for PVP (up to cruisers). - Industrial "fun" if thats your thing (roids and whatnot). - Active members. Both Corp and Alliance. - Capital support - Vent - Forums - Killboard
We are a small but active corp. within the A2N Alliance. If you like to just login and PVP then this is probably the corp/alliance for you. |

Hey Marik!
The scary thing is you would not be the oldest guy in our corps. lol
The Deadbeats are a small but hardcore pvp corps in the US/EU time zones. We are a relaxed, mature crew with lots of RL commitments - so we have no mandatory duties or minimum hours.
We are presently engaged in FW with the Minmatar Republic, and take occasional merc work for fun and money. Militia fleet ops happen around the clock, and the on-demand pvp provides all the action any hard-boiled warrior can handle.
If you are a pint of noob sauce and want to learn pvp, we will teach you what we know. The milita maintains a training channel where you can try to stump the vets with all kinds of questions.
We also welcome industrial players. We have POS with good moons and great belts. Mission runners are fine - as long as they are running Minmatar missions to help our corps faction standings.
Benefits include signing bonus, KB bonuses, free 60 Day GTC for top killer of the quarter, and free ship insurance for tech 1 ships. And did we mention, The Deadbeats don't pay taxes - you get to keep all of what you earn.
Only caveat: You must have 1.0 or higher Minmatar Faction standings - or be willing to get there (and we can help). These standings keep us in FW and are required to plant more POS.
If interested, check out our recruitment site.
Or get your mind frazzled with our FW propaganda.
Or send an Eve Mail to me requesting more info. You can try a convo, but I'm usually in fleet and can't always talk.
