Hi folks,
I have been thinking about a good Gallente ship for solo W-space (up to class 3), but I doubt whether there is one. The Domi and Ishtar are great for standard PvE, but since sleepers go after drones i'm reluctant too use these boats. Blasterboats like the Deimos and Brutix won't do very well either since they will get webbed instantly. Not sure about the megathron or hyperion, will their tank hold? Besides railguns arent known for their great dps. Oh, and I cannot fly CS's yet.
Would a passive shield tanked ishtar be a viable option? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Pls include setups  |

sentry ishtar is great. i did up to class 3 with ogres without any issues. dont be paranoid.

I looks like it might be a long way off for you skill-wise, but a Kronos handles the NPC's with no problem. Just be very careful using drones, they get agro'd very quick. I only use them when frigs get really close so they can pop out and in quickly.

I've Solo'd class two wormholes in a dual repped Brutix - using Blasters and being Webbed wasn't so much of an issue.
Lows:
Dual Mar II
Dual EANM II
DC II
Mids:
10MN AB II
Dual Web II or replace one with a tracking Computer Scripted with which ever flavour you prefer - both help in their own way

5x Neutron Blaster IIs with Caldari Antimatter Ammo
Core Probe Launcher

3x CCC Rigs
I kept a bunch of Warrior IIs in the Drone Bay - popped them out as I got close, monitored their health and drew them back in as they were targetted - this helped my tank by lifting the aggro occasionally.
I've tried running up a dual Lar II Fitting on a Hyperion but I couldn't get it cap stable however - a single LARII gives pretty good stats and you can achieve a higher DPS and you have more of a buffer.

i agree.... I have been using a Kronos in a class 5 that we have a huge set-up in and it kicks ass!, the key is a good webby, i am using a domination, but if you are doing up to class 3's a deimos with a good webby will work just fine. or a rail brutix. web required. i found that i can solo clas 3's with a navy issue omen with ease as well.

Don't be afraid of the sleepers agro on the drones, think of it as an extention to your tank. I've run 1-2's solo in a myrm with no problem and my skills are't fully up to part, yet.
Not using any guns seriously increases your longevity in a WH as long as you have a remore repair or an armor repairing drone or 2.
I don't think I've taken the myrm into a C3 WSpace system yet.
As for settups it's up to what your can fit yourself. I usually have a Med repair, DC, passive hardeners, drone nav's, drone link's, and scanner/salvage equipment. |

im saying that with sentries = easier. ogres = do-able. i used both
basically, just keep an eye on your drones. if youre using ogres, you gotta be close to them to scoop if aggrod.

In my experience 3x EANM II + 1 LAR II is not sufficient to keep up with incoming damage in a class 3. I've run this on a domi with additional DC II, hardener and a plate and still had to warp out in radars and magnetometrics, haven't really run class 3 anomalies.
If you are going for mobile drones then Heavy Drones are required in class 3 to beat the remote repair imho. No comment on sentries. |
