Great Idea!
Now that the PLEX prices have gone up to 450m a piece (up from the 320m that was already overpriced), I will no longer be able to keep my 2 alt accounts active. That was a lot of work and isk i put into those accounts, that will probably never get used now. And i severely doubt PLEX prices will come back down.

you know if you hadn't gone out of yrou way to enter my mission.. and deliberatly fly in to my smart bomb I was useing to kill drones(getting me concorded), I MIGHT have felt a little bit bad for you.

And, your 'mission' was actually on my overview as a beacon
And, that was a year ago, i cant believe you hold such a grudge. You even bring this up every time you see me in a game channel too...
And, i never said i was dropping my main account, only my alt accounts...

Well pay 15 like the rest of us. If you want the names of free MMO's I can find you some, but otherwise it's well known MMO's have a monthly fee. Now if they jacked up the sub fee then i could understand, but seeing as how your paying with monopoly money I'm afraid you're not going to get sympathy from many folks. |

And why do you think that would be bad?
There are people that cannot play too much and can't make the tons of isk the others do.
To buy plex they need to sell they spend real life money after all, so i don't see the problem even though they will go up to 1 bil. |

The fact that you don't apparently realize that the vast majority of us have never been able to afford PLEX disgusts me.
Seriously, what the heck is up with having two accounts? We're in a frickin RECESSION! How the heck do these people justify spending $30+ a month on a GAME?! How do people justify spending enough time playing a game to be able to afford plex?!

what is not being mentioned is the people who actually can not afford to pay with RL money such as myself.
Now I only run one account, this one..but due to a very long term injury I can't play with cash these days, so have to play with PLEX's or quit, and I ain't quitting cause this is still the only game i love to play.
If thr OP can't afford 3 accounts then I don't care, but what I do care about is the price of the plex's skyrocketing to what they are now...
maybe all you might complain saying bla bla bla bla and I ain't listening to you, cause I still have every right to play, but that has now gone up....sad days. |

No, sorry. No sympathy for anyone who says that they cant afford to pay real cash for the game, then has the gaul to complain that they have to stump up huge amounts of game cash for playtime.
I understand the some people cant work and some work very hard for very little, but playing an MMORPG is like getting take out food' its a luxury and if cash is that tight then you need to prioritise and choose.
If you intend to pay by isk and effectively play for free, you should expect to work very hard in game for that.

I happen to work very hard for my plex, but it is crazy that the prices have gone up that much....and for what? So people can pay for funfest with in game currency.. |

I really don't get the thoughtless comments on here sometimes, so just cause i have a serious injury and can't work I shouldn't be allowed to play eve, is that the case?
Seriously you judge people under one banner, I thought this game was mostly populated bu adults who knew better, not people with an iq of roughly 12.....jeez.

WTF OP? Quit being a crybaby and spend some isk on the stinking things and ride them up to the top. In a week or two you're likely to make about 150-200mil isk on each PLEX. Sell em off, let your alts go dormant for a month and the speculators will eventually crash out and go about a happier pilot.
Plus, be realistic. Eventually, the price will go down because either people will start buying more increasing supply or fanfest will pass and price will drop cause supply dropped.
Keep in mind I bet there's a really good amount of this that's nothing but speculation. People are buying PLEXes up in anticipation of fanfest purchases. It takes an aweful lot of PLEX to buy a fanfest ticket and even at 400mil there's a small percentage of people COULD pay the what? 12 PLEXes to get a SINGLE ticket. Then even FEWER that actually wanted to buy them to go at all.
There may be those who use it as a discount, but even that isn't likely to do much harm in the long run.
Heck I'm using PLEXes as a get rich quick scheme atm! And it's working well |

However, higher PLEX prices also == less subscribers.
But less subscribers == less lag.

Pre-GTC change; 410mill for 90 days. / 130m for 30 days.
Two months ago; 300mill for 30 days
Today; 400mill for 30 days.
Average ISK since the first and the second/third per player has doubled. Great. Average 30 day cost between the first two costs was multiplied by 2.3x and the gap increases to 3x from the first to the last with the same average isk per player. (According to QEN anyway).
I agree that it is a privilege, and that paying with ISK should not be taken for granted, But eventually you have to wake up and see the figures in context and I'll tell you now; This crap ain't lining up and prices are increasing more and more every week. Sure.. 1b per 60 day GTC sounds awesome, but your average plex-user isnt willing to make the commitment to make an EXTRA 17m a day (Not counting days where they simply dont play, but lets say 20-25 days a month [25 being generous, 20 being what i would expect the working/school-player average would sit at] that moves to 25m (20 day played) to 20m (25 days) extra commitment a day, On-top of PvP allowances and other things.
Not everyone can find a nichT in trading, and if they did it would only hurt the profit margins of those who already have. Not everyone wants to spend 2-3 hours a day mining veldspar. Not everyone has the mental stability to run level fours every-****ing-day for a couple of hours every day. And this is all before they can start making ISK doing their thing with PvP and so on.
Sure there is exploration which is an All-Or-Nothing profession. You can find a nice implant worth 60-100m one day and then find absolutely nothing for the next two weeks. And this is if you get lucky and find an escalating path that doesn't send you to your demise (Anyone near Genesis, but I digress)
I should note I pay with my primary two accounts through RL money. But seeing others who do that act all stuck up like they have a bug up their arse about something towards those who cannot/do not use RL money for whatever which reason ****es me off immensely. |
