Hello all. There are a tons of Corps to go through and I've looked at many, but figured this might be easier than trying to figure out who is active and who isn't. I'm a brand new player. Never played Eve before except for a trial and just getting into it. Seems fun, so I opened a paid account. I'm looking for a Corp that is into role-playing. This game seems like a place where RP could be very fun. I'm an experience RPer, but not an Eve player so I'm definitely your newb, noob, newbie, whatever you want to call it here.
What I'm wanting to portray is the miner/hauler/builder/smuggler type...if possible. I like the idea of driving the big buses I guess. I'm learning the mining and all that. PvP is fine, in this game it doesn't seem like something you can avoid so I'm up for it, but have a lot to learn about PvP in Eve.
So...I guess I need someone that is into RP, is willing to take on a complete new guy, and is patient and wanting to have fun. I'm currently playing a Gallente pilot, so not sure if that affects anything, but I can role any culture. Gallente just fit my idea of the free roaming privateer, etc.

Hey Jax!
The Deadbeats are a small but hardcore pvp corps in the US/EU time zones. We are a relaxed, mature crew with lots of RL commitments - so we have no mandatory duties or minimum hours.
We are presently engaged in FW with the Minmatar Republic, and take occasional merc work for fun and money. Militia fleet ops happen around the clock, and the on-demand pvp provides all the action any hard-boiled warrior can handle.
If you are a pint of noob sauce and want to learn pvp, we will teach you what we know. If you are a seasoned vet, you can teach us what we don't know.
We also welcome industrial players. We have POS with good moons and great belts. Mission runners are fine - as long as they are running Minmatar missions to help our corps faction standings.
Benefits include signing bonus, KB bonuses, free 60 Day GTC for top killer of the quarter, and free ship insurance for tech 1 ships. And did we mention, The Deadbeats don't pay taxes - you get to keep all of what you earn.
Only caveat: You must have 1.0 or higher Minmatar Faction standings - or be willing to get there (and we can help). These standings keep us in FW and are required to plant more POS.

Thanks for the info. Man this forum is busy. I guess that's good for a game this old. :)
While your crop sounds fun for the PvP side, I'm really looking for something very RP focused. The RP is important to me. RPPvP is fine, I don't mind PvP, its a great way to tell stories, but really not looking for PvP as the main focus.
