ANNOUNCEMENT
Annual Industrial Slavers Convention to be Hosted by Ammatar Consulate
The Industrial Slavers Convention Authority (ISCA) has announced that this year's annual convention will be hosted by the Ammatar Consulate, this coming Sunday.
Although the ISCA annual convention has been planned all year the announcement of the decision to chose Ammatar Consulate as host had been withheld due to the risk of activists and terrorists discovering the precise location and disrupting proceedings.
The Ammatar Consulate was pleased to hear that the ISCA had chosen them to host this year's convention and the move will undoubtably establish the Ammatar Consulate as a major epicenter of the slave trade, bringing in billions of ISK in much-needed revenues.
The ISCA will shortly be sending invitations to all of the major players in the slave trade, regardless of current politics. Representatives of both the Khanid Kingdom and Amarr Empire are expected to attend.
Private corporations such as Dark Seraph, Imperial Dreams, Metatron Inc, Amarria Auxilia, and Bruderschaft des Wahrhaftigen have been invited to buy and sell their wares during the Convention and the ISCA is looking for guest speakers from the corporate attendees.
Seminars will be given on a wide area of topics, and seating is limited. Be sure to pre-register today for the following conferences!
* Mass Scriptural Education
* Use of Transcranial Microprocessors on Industrial Livestock
* Pain Amplifiers and the Supression of Disobedience in Livestock
* Minimizing Livestock Attrition on Large Industrial Projects
Security will be provided by various corporations of the CVA as requested by the ISCA.
Details for the exact location of the slavers convention are a closely guarded secret for security reasons, but reputable Amarr interested in attending can contact either Hardin or Ezar Vorbarra of PIE for further details.

I am glad the Ammatar Consulate is taking a more pro-active role in hosting this years convention and it should draw some well needed tourisim dollers for the Ammatar.
I probably won't be there as I am busy overseeing contruction of the "Wrath of Ammatar" a new Armageddon class battleship to be commissioned shortly. However, I wish the conference the best of luck and hope many new things are discovered. -----------------------------------

"Much needed revenue" . . . a revealing set of words, Hardin. Tell me, if you can, wherein do the Amarrian priorities lie? In the revenue generating machine of slavery or in instilling your God's good word upon the heathen? Despite the propoganda about helping the heathen to be worthy of living as an Amarrian in God's light, it seems rather that the almighty isk is more important than your almighty God -- is the isk the faith of your religion?
Those good Amarri missionary priests who have settled on Matari worlds to help spread the word of your God do so without resorting to enslavement and without even a single isk to their name, let alone even knowing how to open the market window in their NeoCom.
It seems you are in conflict with the teachings of your God, whereas these missionaries have no such conflict.
Tread carefully in your reply, Amarri, for your words are the foundation of heresy.

Despite the obvious terrorist propoganda being spewed here, I must agree on one technical point to the claim of heresy.
The Word of God is the most important avenue toward the enlightenment of the heathen. It is by a market that we can mass educate the heathen but Amarrians be warned! Never confuse your obligation as one of God's Chosen as the right to treat slaves as livestock!
Slaves are heathens, not livestock. Livestock will never be able to be enlightened and thrust into the hands of God. A heathen can be so supported.
An investigation by my Special Services agents will be made during this Summit. Those Amarrians whose faith is corrupted by the earning of wealth rather than the proper treatment of slaves will be charged with Heresy!

You may wish to add 1 small additional item to the agenda.
I suggest you pre-warn your attending friends that any and all sympathisers of your accursed race that the original founders of the People's Front of Minmatar will soon be returning to empire with their own brand of diplomacy.
That's right people, in the near future you can expect to see a few familiar faces back on the scene to remind people why the PFM became the feared organisation it was.
Of course it seems that many of your close colleagues Hardin are far too busy off defending the empire etc so we'll be paying some attention to the more traditional targets.
I trust this won't cause too much of a uproar when you let your delegates in on the good news.
Ok, so what the hell is this Golden Ratio? |

Sister Wheya will join the Slavers Convention and she will show some examples of slave livestock with transcranial microcontrollers.
She has the order not to participate in discussions. My position has not changed. I am open for discussions but territory controlled by the Nefantar tribe is not the place for such discussions from my point of view.

Scrolling down the screen a slight smile came to Hakera.
"Send word to our spies in in the Nefantar Council and in Amarr, have them find anything and everything pertaining to this gathering reported. Make it top priority!" Hakera said standing.
Nodding Deallus turned and made to leave.
"Deallus, send word to the alliance, increase all patrols in Nefantar space. This is the opportunity we have been waiting for. All the eggs are gathered in one basket. It is the perfect time to strike. An opportunity which we must set the whole alliance to.
Call a meeting of the council. We must discuss this urgently!"

In the darkness of the cave she awoke. The fire had burned out long ago and the damp chill of the night air had seeped into her sleeping place. Wakita rose and put on her shawl. Walking outside she glanced at the Rifter parked near the clearing. Soon it would be time to return to Amarr to battle the imperialists.
Climbing into the Rifter she activated the ships controls and took flight. High over the trees past the mountains of Ammold she rose into space. High above she saw the light of the school station beckon in the dark void. Wakita signaled for landing instructions then flew the ship to a docking bay inside. Climbing from her ship she walked into the Promenade. Vendors of all sorts were hawking wares and the occasional cry of a Minmatar who found a lost loved one broke the silence. Ammold was the center of commerce for Wakita and served as a waystop between her home and Amarr. Walking into a seedy looking lounge she took a booth in the corner. Dim candles lit the room from each table and the smell of smoke hung in the air. Nearby she saw two Amarrians talking in hushed voices to a Minmatar.
"Damned slavers" she thought as she saw the Amarrian pass a small package to the Minmatar who quickly left followed by the Amarrians. Ordering up a drink of Ultra Quafe she sat back and turned on the video dispaly on the booths table. The MNN Minmatar News Network was broadcasting the events of the Republic. Suddenly the newscaster took on an ominous tone. "Today MNN has discovered the Ammatar are hosting a conference of the Amarrian Empires leading slavers. This conference agenda includes slave torture, sexual assault and discipline. Also included are plans to increase slave captures in Matari space by over 100 percent this month". The newscaster went on but Wakita was stunned.
"They are evil" she said to herself. The fire in her heart growing into an inferno of rage and anger. "They are evil" she said again louder. People nearby glanced at her and whispered. Suddenly the two Amarrians who had left walked over to Wakita. "Hello young lady. Would you like to make some isk cleaning our ship?" the fatter of the two asked. Clearly this was an attempted abduction. Slowly Wakita rose to her feet and stood before them. Before they could say a word she drew her Bathlaeck knife from its holder and thrust it into the neck of the first Amarrian. He fell to the floor gasping for breath as he choked on his own blood.
The other Amarrian backed away but Wakita sprang over the table and kicked him in the chest. He flew into another booth knocking over the drinks of a stunned Caldari couple. Holding the knife firmly in her hand she quickly sliced the mans face with a "W". The man screamed as Wakita quickly stood over him. "You will remember me slaver. If you come here again I will kill you". The man looked on in terror at the enraged Minmatar female.
Security had been called and entered the lounge. Wakita still stood there with the knife in her hand as they approached her with lasers drawn. Turning she said firmly "They are slavers who tried to take me". She then put the knife back in its holder on her belt. The security officers relaxed. One said "In that case go with the spirit of Matar sister". They watched as Wakita exited the lounge and returned to her ship. She would find this slaver convention. When she did Amarr blood would fill the sky.

It's good to hear. Welcome back!

Who are the Pfom? Never seen or heard of them.
I will attend this gathering if my visual display interface of my navcom gets fixed. This matter will be of great importance to me. Could i get some more info i would gladly beat my slaves to work faster with the repairs. (Enlightenment of the slaves are a secondary objective)

I am afraid I was, and still am for another 8 hours, without access to my electronic mail.
If any reputable (and known) Amarrian wishes to attend the slaver conference please send me a communication via electronic mail.
I will go through these later and will provide the convention details to those who contact me and are known in the Amarrian community.

Well, least one slaver ain't attending to conference... Why? Because he sits chained in one of my hangars.
I will exchange him to 300 freed slaves that are handed to me. If I'll get no response within two days by evemail, he will be tortured to death

Whilst I am pleased that you accept that one Amarrian life is three hundred times more valuable than that of a Minmatar, I am vehemently oppossed to doing deals with terrorists.
Seeing as how you claim slavery is equivalent to torture, your willingness to torture an individual for personal gain is somewhat ironic, don't you think?

I wouldn't see this case that way. I see it as a good deal, I gain 299 lives against one.. Maybe this slaver is relative of one your kind. Nevertheless, he will die horribly unless 300 slaves are freed by his colleques.

I should point out that a delegate representing the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Slaves (SPCS) will be speaking at this conference, so any fears that you may have about the 'proper treatment' of slaves are unfounded.

As a point about transcranial microprocessors, did anyone ever check to see which corperation delivered 99% of them for the majority of their profitable trade status?
If I was an Amarr, I'd check. Because some methods, and some opportunities, are not all they seem to be when that corperation is involved.

UPDATE
We have heard rumours that some Minmatar terrorist organisations have identified the location and time for this Sunday's Annual Industrial Slavers Convention.
We would like to reassure those attending the show, either as speakers or delegates, that security at this year's show will be handled by the CVA and Amarria Auxillia. We are extremely confident of handling any terrorists that do show up allowing the attendees to do business in an atmosphere of safety and serenity.

NEWSFLASH
A large Minmatar force of approximately 50 Minmatar terrorists have succeeded in disrupting proceedings at the Annual Slaver Convention hosted by the Ammatar Consulate in the system of Yuzier.
In a horrific attack a Bestower full of delegates was destroyed by the Minmatar horde. Security forces from the loyalist Amarr corps, Amarria Auxillia, Dark Seraph, Imperial Dreams & PIE corps engaged the terrorist fleet and a major engagement followed.
The Minmatar terrorists were driven off with heavy casualties to both them and the security forces. Over 80 ships have been reported destroyed in Yuzier in the past hour.
We have obtained a couple of post battle screenshots which demonstrate the extent of the destruction:

Edited by: Ezar Vorbarra on 20/09/2004 02:01:19 OFFICIAL REPORT
The terrorists came in one enormous wave of fast attack frigates, interceptors and assault ships. Their small size made them nearly invisible to Ammatar fleet surveillance; even if they had been seen it is unlikely that the terrorists would have been caught due to their high speed.
I am the only survivor of the viscious terrorist attack on the convention transport ship. The loss of life here can only be described as an attrocity of the most vile kind.
The transport ship was carrying over thirty-six VIP conventioneers and a dozen of their personal servants. These VIPs were industrial slaver magnates from all across Amarrian space, including the Khanid Kingdom, the Amarr Empire, and the Ammatar Consulate.
A majority of these 36 VIPS were killed outright; the remainder are currently missing and presumed dead. On top of the already tragic losses, over 1030 slaves were vaporized in the destruction of the ship.
After the transport was destroyed, a monumental frigate dogfight erupted in orbit around the station. Amarrian security forces battled pilots from the most feared and deadly Matari terrorist organizations in the galaxy. Over 85 ships were lost on both sides. While the Amarrians held the field, it was a hollow victory - the transport ship was already gone and the convention an utter failure.
Allied fleets immediately ventured into the Imperial Province of Matar looking for these criminals, only to find that they had already faded back into the shadows from which they came.
Our only saving grace at this point is that the terrorist Hakera was knocked unconscious in his pod during the destruction of his ship. I can only hope that Inquisitor Lord Kador is able to extract some critical information from him.
Note the following minmatar terrorists involved in the murder of the convention attendees. Each of them is hereby considered to be a wanted criminal by the Holy Amarrian Empire.

Sabaoth Incorporared extends its condolences for those murdered, as well as their families and friends, in this act of godless barbarism. We hope proper cloning processes will revive some of those VIPs slaughtered by the savage hordes.
Even in this Renaissance of empathetic and compassionate treatment of Minmats, the animals cannot even hold their breath before lashing out in fear and ignorance. We extend so much, only to be stabbed in the heart by the Minmats we try to embrace.
Rest assured, the names of these terrorists shall be noted and certain projects accelerated.
I can only hope swift retribution will fall upon the heads of those reponsible for this terrorist act, enemies forgien and domestic. ______

Tonights Attack was a horrible tragedy for those delegates who lost their lives and espcially for the thousand slaves that lost their lives and cannot be cloned.
It was a lesson well learned that even a Conference of "peacefull" nature about slaves cannot go undisturbed by those "freedom fighters" bent on Amarrian destruction.
The CVA proved Amarrian might and strength in tonights battle and to all those brave soldiers who lost their ships I salut you for your service to the Empire.
As for you terrorists let this be a lesson to you! The Amarr Empire and its defenders will always be ready to Respond to your attacks and through our Faith we shall Prevail!

Prevail?
Prevail kind of gives the appearance of danger of losing.
I thought most of you maintained the illusion that you are so much better than the freedom fighters that you aren't in any real danger. --------------------------------------------------

A pilot's tale
I knew trouble was brewing. The Minmatar's had been highly active all day.
Early on a scout reported on a terrorist mining operation deep in Minmatar space. A fast attack fleet was gathered - two MWD battleships accompanied by around 8 cruisers and frigates.
A complete stealth approach was required, so the Amarr fleet travelled via insecure backwater systems in order to avoid detection. The fleet ghosted through some known terrorist haunts, apparently undetected - a mere 6 jumps out from the mining operation.
The fleet moved on and a few minutes later jumped into the system adjacent to the mining operation. But the Minmatars were warned! Two enemies were in the system.
The fleet moved into the target system but the terrorist miners had already docked. The loyalist were dismayed - a 26 jump trip with no result to show for it.
But then suddenly Lesican, a known pirate piloting a Claw, bravely engaged the fleet. The Minmatar unsuccessfully gambled on the superior speed and manoueverability of the interceptor to harass the loyalist fleet - unfortunately underestimating the skill of the loyalist frigate pilots who successfully webbed and scrambled his ship allowing it to be destroyed - although the pilots pod did escape.
The loyalist fleet started hearing reports of Minmatar ships in Onga which was on their direct route home so they decided to check it out.
Before it had gone too far however Lesican flying yet another Claw re-engaged the loyalist fleet obviously trying to prove his valour. Unfortunately for him the result was even worse with the Amarrians destroying the Claw and the pilot pod.
The fleet moved rapidly back towards Onga. In the system of Hek the advance frigate elements came across a Thorax who engaged them. The loyalist frigates successfully avoided the Thorax's drones holding it in place while the cruisers of the Amarr fleet caught up. The Thorax was doomed and its pilot podded for his temerity in resisting Amarrian justice.
By now the enemies in Onga had retreated into Pator. The loyalist fleet decided to swing by on their way home and somewhat fortuitously caught the renowned terrorist Maggot sitting in a frigate at the gate into Onga. The loyalist frigate pilots were having a successful afternoon and once again the terrorist ship and pod were caught and destroyed.
Just then the comm system *****led and a plea for help came in. A small Minmatar strikeforce were terrorising Amarrians in the systems of Ashab and Hedion, succeeding in destroying the frigate on Ciar Meara who happened to be in the vicinity.
The strike team set course to Ashab - hoping that their approach from the Pator direction would allow then to catch the Minmatars by surprise.
The fleet moved rapidly to Ashab but the Minmatars had seemingly dissappeared, when one of the fleet stragglers reported sighting the enemy in Kehour. The Amarrians in Ashab turned around and headed back to Kehour in an effort to punish the criminals
The three Minmatar ships, including a Caracal, a Minmatar assault frigate and a standard frigate, were setup for anti-frigate operation and successfuly destroyed an Amarrian interceptor and frigate before anything more substantial could arrive.
The two Minmatar frigates managed to warp away but the Caracal was pinned against a gate and locked in place by the remaining loyalist frigates and destroyed. Yet again the pilot was executed for his crimes - we hope the pilots clone will wisely refrain from further terrorist actions.
All of this led ultimately to huge clash in Yuzier later in the evening.

It was rather laughable as your Mighty Fleet blundered its way through the systems, making so much noise that nearly everyone was alerted to it before it could be of any danger to anyone, while our little strike team sneaked in behind and picked off those you had left undefended, we had a nice photgraph taken of us next to the Monument in Amarr, where we sat for a bit, unchallenged (Say Cheese).

all nice and fine but it were our ships that scanned the field and controlled the system when the flames(lag) ebbed off.
you may have made a point but simply the wrong one that night.
nevertheless a battle well fought and your courage and *spits* "bravery" raised your whole race a little in my eyes.

Well Sigsy, our 'blundering' fleet managed to destroy two cruisers, two interceptors and a frigate - a fine result in the circumstances.
We would of course have preferred to catch the terrorist fleet mining and to have added a few battleship kills to that list but it was not to be on this occasion.
EDIT: Ethi - Sigsy is referring to our earlier patrol detailed in my post above...

In the command office Maggot switched on the viewscreen to Khaldorn's quarters and was about to hail him when he noticed the young warrior in his bed, twisting and turning and thrasing as if fighting the demon spirits themselves. He clicked the viewscreen off, he knew only too well what possessed that young Matari this night. It was the price they paid, and it was a heavy one...
Back in Khaldorns quarters the young warrior awoke with a forlorn cry, drenched in sweat and the screams of the slaves that had been incinerated clear in his head still. They had been with him ever since the raid. As he walked over to the sink to get some water, he replayed the events in his head, as he had done again and again and again..
Ever since the slaver conference had been announced, command had been using all its resources and spies to try to hunt down the location of the event. A glorified festival of the enslavement and treatment of their people, paraded like cattle, treated like goods. It made every Matari's blood boil just thinking about it, the freedom fighters had no choice but to do something.
Eventually, one of their spies had managed to cajoule the location out of a fat Amarrian slaver, for that spy had certain feminine whiles few men could resist. She had relayed the location of the 'conference' before dispatching with that man who had grown fat and rich off the backs of our people.
And so it was, the war horn was sounded and the tribes had answered and gathered around Matar. Khaldorn remembered that moment in his mind well, a great host of his warrior brethren clouding the sky. all who had answered the call to battle. It had made him very proud. It had been made clear that there would be a large CVA security force at this location and few of them imagined making it back alive. Yet they had still come, all the tribes had answered, without hesitation, without flinching, they had come.
Preperations were made, rituals were inacted, and warriors made ready for battle and death. Through the spy network it was announced that a Bestower carrying many prominent slavers and a thousand of there enslaved brethren was making its way to the conference. This was to be the primary target, they had to take out these fat slaver scum and resuce there brethren. A thousand souls to be freed and fat slavers to be executed. A cause worth dying for certainly.
The fleet was soon underway, frigates all as speed was of neccessity, they had to get there and attack as quickly as possible. The Amarrian border scanners would surely pick up a host of battleships, but by the time they had located the frigate fleet we would already be upon them.
Soon they had arrived at the gate to Yuzier, Khaldorn looked around at the warriors around him. All silent now, awaiting the command to enter, listening to the final orders from their commander, Hakera, who was responsible for rallying them to this fight. A proud and noble warrior who they all had chosen to follow, he had personally fought many battles beside this man, and was proud to fight under him again.
Khaldorn focused his mind, as the order to jump was given, the plan was simple, warp into the conference location en masse. Take out the bestower, rescue there brethren and inflict as many losses as possible on their blood enemies, the CVA.
Khaldorns ship shuddered out of warp, and quickly scanned for the Bestower. There! He quickly engaged the micowarp drive and sped off after the bestower in chase, he noticed a number of his comrades had joined him in the attack. Suddenly, his scanner was full of hostile contacts, so many he couldnt count. The fleet scrambled and attacked, whilst the detachment he was part of was ordered to continue to intercept the Bestower.
The Bestower was locked, and they had someone had raised comms to the pilot telling to him to release his cargo. He refused and his missiles slammed into his hull as they attacked. The comms channel was still open and he could hear the shouts of the crew as they rushed to the escape pods. Its hull was being stripped away as Khaldorn let loosed some missles. Suddenly, one of the pilots called out - 'Watch it, the drive has been ruptured, its leaking plasma into the cargo section, cease fire! cease fire!'

But it was too late, there were already multiple missiles from the wing inbound to the cargo ship, one of them impacted and the plasma was ignited. He heard the screams of the slaves onboard as they were burnt alive.. such screams.. such terror.. And then another missile impacted upon the bestower and there was a remendous explosion as the cargo ships hull ruptured and started exploding. The screams were still going on, getting louder and more desperate. And then suddenly they stopped.. the cargo hold had been opened to space, and he watched agahst as people tumbled out into the voids of space, his people.. his brethren, the ones they had come to save. What had he done? Tears started to run down his face as his ship shuddered violently, commander Maggots voice came over the comms 'Rookie, move yourself, you have multiple ships on your ar3e, im coming in'
He sat their motionless, but as another exlposion shook his ship, he awoke, forced himself into action and kicked his Rifter into a evsive loop as red mist descended over his eyes, the shame, the anger, it all melded as he loosed some missiles at the nearest target and kicked the mwd drive in. There was a flash in the corner of his view as Maggot and Zool flew in firing away at his pursuers. He pushed his mwd drive to the limits and suddenly he was out of the conflict zone, warning lights were buzzing around his viewscreen, he glanced down at his hull.. 5%, he quickly flipped the camera drones around, large parts of his Rifter were on fire, as if an inferno had envloped his ship.
The red mist still holding him, he quickly found his recent pursuers and forced the mwd drive into max, as his ship shuddered violently, threating to tear itself apart. His fireball of a ship careered into the midst of the enemy wing, and he blasted away at the nearest ship as its hull ruptured and it was torn apart by the combined fire of his friends...
Khaldorn shook his head as he looked at himself in the mirror. The rest of the battle had been a blur, he only remembered coming to his senses in a pod and numbly piloting back to home space. He stared at himself in the mirror and saw images of his enslaved brethren tumbling out of the bestower, women, children... he heard their screams in his head, it had been two nights since the attack and they had been in his nightmares constantly. The night of the attack he had returned to his quarters, searching for sleep at the bottom of a bottle, finding only nightmares. But, it was all he deserved, it was his fault those people had died. He would never forgive himself, and he would never forgive the slavers. Ever. EVER! as he slammed his fist into the mirror, blood covering his hand as he sank down to his knees in the corner of his room.
His PDA was blinking, his report of the battle was overdue. He numbly picked up the pad, and slowly typed a report.
+++ BEGIN REPORT +++
To: FoM Command
.....
+++ END REPORT +++
He tossed the pad into the corner of his room, there was nothing he could say, blast the report, they could wait.
After a long while, Khaldorn arose to his feet and slowly cleared up the glass littering his floor. The comms panel on his desk blinked red and Maggot and Zools faces appeared on it.
'Khaldorn, where are you? havent you seen the broadcast' they enquired 'No Sirs, i have been.. busy' Zool looked at him enquiringly but Maggot appeared to share a look with his compatriate and he said no more. 'Well look at this' Maggot said. Hakera's broadcast was played before his eyes. Damn those slavers! 'Khaldorn, we are .. ' Maggot said But Khaldorn had already grabbed his flight jacket and ran off to his Rifter.

Edited by: Amarula on 21/09/2004 13:07:37 Amarula was angry...angry at herself...
Her job as a dancer at the club in the RSS plant above Kulheim had prevented her from being able to take part in the recent battle, a battle that was supposed to have struck fear into the hearts of the Amarr slavers, showing that the Minmatar will not stand idle as they simply talk and gossip about her brothers and sisters among the Minmatar. Instead, that battle turned out to be more costly than anyone had ever hoped, and she felt ashamed that she couldn't have been there to help her brothers and sisters...especially Hakera.
Hakera, whom she felt a deep sympathy for. A noble and strong member of the rebellion against Amarr oppression, now at the mercy of the cruel hand of the Amarr slavers. And she wasn't there to at least try to save him.
She was committed to the cause, she was sure of it. But as much as she wanted to fight, she had her other duties to attend to. The stabber she had purchased second hand had way too many software problems to be an effective fighter, the camera drones often spluttered as they tried to transmit the information of dozens of ships and hundreds of drones all around her. She couldn't fight effectively with such problems, she needed to upgrade. And to do that, she needed money...
Which was why she was a dancer here, using her dancing skills and the legendary athleticism of the Marula tribe to entertain the soldiers and the free people of the Minmatar republic, as well as the slaves she freed and the rebels she fought alongside with. But she began to wonder if she was really able to keep two duties together...
As she was about to drift off to a drowsy sleep on the desk, the half-empty bottle of spiced wine that was recently 'liberated' from the clubs store-room still in her hand, the holo-vid changed programs to the news. She groggily turned her head to see what was going on before passing out, and she suddenly sprung herself up from the desk.
Hakera's image appeared on the holoscreen, bloodied and bruised, but still alive...
"Never give up, NEVER!!! Fight until the end when our people are free!!"
She clenched her fist, blood dripping slightly in her hand. She turned and headed for the pod.
She wasn't going to miss this. Job, and software problems, be damned... ---------------

Edited by: zoolkhan on 21/09/2004 13:15:39 ...zool looked at maggot after khaldorn rushed out of his quarter and left the screen blank.
"He reminds me of the times when we were young. Did i hear right? You still call him 'rookie'?"
a quick smile flushed on zool's face for a second.
"I hope for him, he is preparing the frigate wing instead of going in alone again." ..maggot replied.
Then suddenly the room was shaked by two old warriors laughing..
zool left maggot office, but turned around on the doorstep..
"Look, we will get them out of there... both of them. no worries ok?"
With these words zool left the office and headed to the FoM-Operation Center where the rescue mission planning was already in progress..

My tutor on pod mechanics was right, but I didnt believe her at the time. She never mentioned that the monofilament withdrawal would hurt. After all, the brain has no nerve endings, so how can it feel pain? Still.. it does.
Get up from the floor Sforza, laying here getting cold covered in pod fluids really wont help... UP!
Ten straight hours as the mind of the VBS "Reformed Nice Guy", a private Scorpion class battleship.. a brutal fight with the Nefanter Mining Corporation's Apocalyspse fleet in Audesder, physical impacts even felt through human nerve endings in the POD.
Dont look back at her, you know how bad she is.
Look back.
Siege Launcher three jammed with a misfired Paradise, armour stripped to structure along the port side, drone fleet gone. Sensor clusters fried along the stern where those megabeams caught you as you came about.
And lets face it Sforza.. you're in a worse shape than the ship.
Sleep is what you need. Right now. Another 30 hours POD time at the over the last three days to add to those you just clocked up. Playing cat and mouse with AMAX raiders in Pator (you'll be a cat one day), then the raid on the Slavers Conference. I'd pronounce myself dead on arrival if my CEO would let me.
Check your inbox first, lets see if Maggot has any post action reports to work through.
.. CVA broadcast?.. Ho hum, lets have a look. I could do with a laugh.

<Camera focuses in on main entrance to Liberty Inc's Headquarters and privatly run hospital for freed bretheren. A small seibestor woman comes into focus>
"Bretheren,
Today, has been the worst day in Liberty's history. On this blackest of days. Our beloved leader and founder of all the facilities you see behind me which has lead to the re-cupuration of so many of our kin was scheduled to be executed after days of torture at the hands of the Curatores Veritatis Alliance, the evil and genocidal monsters with which the brave chosen of Matar have fought against in the name of our people for so long.
A daring raid was planned by the best the Freedom alliance had to offer. To snatch Hakera from the arms of death and bring him home. They knew the cost of failure and the massive odds against them once more. But a Matari never leaves a warrior behind.
Details are still sketchy at this point but despite suffering heavy losses Hakera was able to escape as The Kara'kori, The blade warriors of Matar, the highest warriors on the field assualted the Prison ship holding our lord in chains. They were able to free Hakera and get out before the ship was destroyed by the remaining CVA forces.
Hakera is in a serious condition and is being treated on the way back to our secure healing centre behind me."
**** The camera drone pauses and lifts to see a wing fo Liberty ships approach the landing pads escorted in close formation by FoM frigates ****
The camera drone lead by the Press officer follows to where a hatch opens and a entourage of marines, healers and crew gather round to lots of shouting and crimes.
Held back my security the camera drone tries to get an agle on the strecther surrounded by people rushing to the hospital entrance. For some reason they pause at the doors and some of the people part to reveal the hagged and bent Seibestor, covered in dry blood, servere bruises and cuts across his front and back.
Standing careful supported by several people he looks over at the horde of people in front.
A weak voice speaks up
Brothers,
Despite my telling you not to come, you came and the very hour of my execution where robbed of my pod, I would not be able to wake once more at the facility. You came despite the odds stacked against you and against all hope.
The risk so much over me, one warrior is not our way. But the Matari are changing. And it is that what the Amarrins fear most and why they work so hard to keep us in chains as the underdogs!
*** Hakera coughs finally in pain, resisting the urges of the healersa to get back on the stretcher ***
My wounds will heal, some faster than others. They worked hard to uncover what is held in my mind but their drugs would not break me. In the darkness of my own mind where I was held prisoner Matar guided me out of the maze that had been cast down for me.
I need...time to heal, so many thoughts, so much pain...I request permission to stand down from the fleet for a short time. I must heal...
Focusing again he looked up,
"This day belongs to those who risked everything for one of their own. Against all odds they came to save one man from his doom, a doom forged from his own failure. For them, I owe a debt of honour that I shall one day repay.
May the halls of warriors and the sands of time forever remember the deeds done this day, the sacrifices by the many and the bravery of a few. Let their stories be told into legend.
Witch Doctor, ZoolKhan, Khaldorn Murino, Mah Kraah, Cribb, Caldicott, Phennik Vronsky, Sforza, Tano, Decujo Brut, Lord Stone, Rikkan and Jorund Bork.
May they be honoured by the ancestors for their courage in life and their valor. Their deeds in life shall see them to the halls of the greatest of our kin.
