hi fellas
Just jumped in my astarte today for some pew and as soon as i fitted javelin M to my 250 II's, my max velocity went down to 63.1
I couldn't figure it out so i docked up, stripped fittings and found it was the charges. I may just be being an idiot and never noticed it before, but it has a -14% penalty to max velocity PER TURRET. which means my max speed was cut by 70% in total.
How long has this been part of the game? not fussed that it is, I shall adapt. but i didn't even notice it until last night?
kind regards
Redent

Damn sneaky T2 ammo doesn't even tell you it makes your ship slower, oh wait....

Edited by: Zaerlorth Maelkor on 10/06/2009 10:24:36 Tech 2 shortranged hybrid ammo is completely gimp. Don't understand why CCP hasn't fixed it yet.
Edit: Inserted "Hybrid". |

hm... how about this idea? change one of the bonusses on T2 combat ships into a bonus that negates the sideeffects of T2 ammo/missiles.

CCP just neds to remove all gimpage on t2 modules and ammo, make T2 better than T1.
Also, CCP needs to 1/2 everyone's hitpoints so you don't need 5 people to kill a ship in under 30 seconds so you can get out of the area before more forces arrive and thus, begins the blob!
Will it happen? Gawd knows, but it will certainly make solo pvp less fraught with peril of being blobbed before you can even get a ship into 1/2 shields.

this! buff hit-and-runs!
also, dont ever use closerange t2 ammo. they stink (except maybe conflag and hail in very specific circumstances) |

actually I believe that CCP buffer the number of hitpoints early on in eve's history because combat happened too quickly and no strategy was involved, they want players to be able think and react. |

This. I don't remember the amount of increase exactly, but I do remember getting into a Raven and having almost triple the hitpoints on everything. That was a pretty big deal at the time. If I recall correctly, it was right when they nerfed missiles. I miss being able to pod people with torps. :( |
