Are you a PvP superstar? Do you have what it takes to predict the outcome of a match or commentate on epic fights? Do you want to fly to Iceland, party with the Devs, and appear on EVE TV? If you answered yes to any of these questions you may want to consider applying to be a commentator for Alliance Tournament VII.
The final deadline for applications is coming up on Sunday 14th June at 23:59 GMT. Check out CCP Charlie's Episode VII: Revenge of the Alliance Tournament blog for more information.

honestly, given your track-record on the forums, can't imagine anyone less deserving of being a commentator. |

Where's cat of ninetails?
Her lengthy commanding role defending rancer from pirates should easily qualify her for this.

Thank you all who applied. I've been monitoring all the applications as they have been sent in and now the rest of the team is getting their chance to have a look and choose some favourites. We'll be narrowing down all the applications to around 10 or so tomorrow afternoon and I'll be sending mails to those we want to come back for interviews asap. --------- Charlie Video Producer WTB: My kidney back |

Edited by: Armoured C on 16/06/2009 00:52:04 damm i do alot of my ingame community
i have alot of PVP experience involving many wars , can all be like some alts and stay in empire all day mining the roids i can fly everything sub capital except DIC's ill be dammed if i am going to train to get that worthless destroyer skill to V.
i do actually play the game
and my guilty obsession is to gate camp. :)
i do hope that they wont pick me based on soul of my performance on the forums , because it not about forum warrior it about PVPing ingame and id like to think of myself as a dam good PVP'r. Always willing to go in first and come out last.
like here for example , we didnt win , we were out manned and out gunned. We knew this but we still went in and gave it a bloody good shot and took as many as we could with us, half there gate camped warped as there were 29 in local before we went in.
i am not afriad of loosing a ship or my pod as long as i take someone down with me or the oppertunity of a bigger kill is afoot.
if this will make me a terrible commentator then ill be dammed because you cant always win . knowing that you cant always win makes you try harder next time to push the odds and insure you take out more before your pod drops from your wreck.

Edited by: Dirk Magnum on 16/06/2009 03:25:47 I believe some of the listed requirements include being able to speak coherent English, be photogenic enough for the camera, and having a deep knowledge of the game.
Which commentator from any of these tournaments has actually met those not-so-lofty prerequisites? I say we draw the names of several players from a hat and fly them to Iceland whether they've expressed interest in being a commentator or not. Kidnap if necessary. |

Yeah, good luck with that. Deep knowledge of the game implies a pale, quivering pile of nerd. The logistics of extracting the aforementioned gelatinous worthy from their parents basement may be too complex a problem to tackle.
Odds are good that 300,000 players will have at least a few with encyclopedic knowledge of all things eve combined with a voice that doesn't drive the listener to self-immolation. But asking for a pleasing visage on top of that is expecting too much.
I'll settle for commentators who don't sound like they're slobbering on the microphone around a giant wad of chewing gum. And in summary, bigger blobs are the answer. Now what was the question? |

Well I'm both attractive and knowledgeable, but I don't speak English so oh welp I didn't want to comment on their stupid tournament anyway |
