The Jove never really went under, being at the opposite side of the cluster from the gate. Though they had their own nadir points in history.

Wouldn't it be interesting if they found out earth was destroyed somehow?
Putting a spin on the trajedy of the eve wormhole collapsing into a kindness and a second chance for humanity.
It'd be epic drama like when your mothership jumps back to Khanid in Homeworld 1 Mission 3.

It would be interesting to open up an expansion in the future with something akin to an "access quest", where perhaps you have complete a set of missions to access new content. It would add a nice bit of role play for those that like it and if its challenging enough be fun for those that simply like killing things.

Maybe it will be the 'last' expansion they do before pulling the plug... open a new WH to Earth.
I'll bet 10000000000 isk that some lame group will gate camp it, slaughter indy's and shuttles and claim they are hardcore PVP ers

Just a thought, and sorta not willing to go through the archives, where specifically was the EVE gate in relation to New Eden? In the middle, sorta like the milky way's super black hole, or somewhere on the edges?

Any chance you could post with your main/show your corp? You know smacktalking from behind an alt is pretty lame, especially when you question the PvP skills of your opponents. While gatecamping is lame, I find it annoying how in virtually every thread you are complaining about pirates and griefers. |

Open your map map search for 'New Eden'. The system is still there along with the remnants of the EVE gate.

Some of you should really read the chronicles and short stories more :P Lemme help fill in a little back story since CCP saw fit to remove it from the game...
The galaxy and all that was around Earth was being consumed by all of the conglomerates. As soon as new territories were discovered, they would be bought up and no one could privately own anything. Companies owned and controlled everything and were all the time warring with each other. It was a mess. Then the wormhole was found.
Pioneers and colonists went through the wormhole to start a new life. To begin anew. Then the gate for an unknown reason, collapsed. Almost all of the colonies that went through the wormhole were still reliant on everything earth-side to support them. Once they were cut off, it forced them all into the stone age. Technology was lost and forgotten. The Jove weren't hit as hard as everyone else. I don't know why, I don't think it's ever mentioned. As for everyone else, they all had to start over from square one. These weren't all Earth-like planets either. Most colonies died out.
The Amarr were the first to recover and venture into space again where they started to expand their empire. When they ran into other planets with surviving colonies, they would conquer and enslave them. They hadn't gone as far as the Gallente and Caldari home worlds yet though. The Gallente and Caldari actually shared the same system, but didn't even know it until I think it was the Gallente who discovered the Caldari. It was some time until either of them became space bound though.
According the the stories, any ships that get too close to the Eve Gate (wormhole) are destroyed. Please feel free to fill in anything I may have left out. I've read all of the chronicles and short stories, but my memory can be kinda fuzzy sometimes, so meh.
Also, we all hate the french because they're cowards.
As for all of this though, I know we're all supposed to be human and all, but wtf are the Sleepers exactly? As far as I know, they're not just drones. They're in systems apparently far outside our normal reach in the Eve Universe. So are they indeed, actual "aliens"? Are they part of some surviving colonies that just kept going instead of stopping around the Eve Gate like everyone else? Or are they an ancient race from Earth that set out after the Eve Gate collapsed? It's all speculation I guess...
Oh, and to find the Eve Gate, open up your star map. Kinda level it out and spin it around. You'll see a funnel shape on the underside leading to a lone system. That would be it. I think it's closer to Amarr space, but it's been a while since I looked, so don't quote me on that :P

Sleepers are (or were) just another race of humans who preceded the current 5 Empires.
If they ever Introduced Earth, Aliens or Playable Jove Ships, I would probably drop out of EVE. Xd
