IÆve been playing EVE for a few years. IÆve quit twice but each time I come back hoping to find more content for a single player but I have not found enough to keep me from playing other games. It would be nice to have a ship that can mine any moon in the EVE universe. It would be nice to create a low cost space station or build a moon base on any moon. Walking in a space station seems to be the next upgrade and when I return to the game six months from now maybe it will be in the game.

I guess the obvious question is: why do you want to single-play an MMO? |

I like doing my own thing when I play in a MMO. I get enouph team play in real life. |

I guess it's like playing a single player game except the AI doesn't have the A part...
...and with some people doesn't have the I part either. |

Why must everyone assume that MMO means that you must play with other players. Some people like playing against others. That said, EVE is hardly alone in this, most if not all MMOs limit their high level/end game to players playing coopertivly. |

at one point i read a thread asking for mini-poses (just a hangar, small ship maintenance array, shileds and guns) that could be anchored at safespots and that a single player could reasonably keep fueled and maintained with relatively little time investment. I could have swore that a dev replied stating that they were looking into it.
of course, this was months ago and now i can't find the thread, so who knows.

Most don't. An MMO is appealing to us because the economy is interactive, and dynamic, because it's based on human players. That's awesome. Also, chatting with others is great fun. But the last thing I want to do when relaxing is being made to work with others. I have to do enough of that in real life...
Some just don't work well in teams. |
