Situation: -0.0, The gate on the main pipe is bubbled by a group of cloaked up recons that won't fight unless they obviously have the upper hand. -They have scouts on the other sides of the gates so bait won't really work unless you want to try going 2 jumps. -Bringing in more forces means they simply stay cloaked. -Trying to uncloak with inties means if the inties get too far away from the pack and too close to the recons they eaten by the web bonused ship which name I can't remember, while lachesis damps the others so they can't lock, then they recloak and move once inty is dead.
My Question: How do you beat this setup? I am not trying to create a stealth nerf call or a whine thread, I am honestly curious if there is a way to beat this type of camp? Or is it simply better to leave them alone till they get bored and leave? I coulden't think of a way to get them other then a bait ship, i.e. the 200k EHP trimarked baddon and hope it lives long enough for the rest of your guys to get there, then hope that they don't simply jam/damp you and fade away.
Can you guys think of a way to combat this? ~ The man who smiles when things go wrong has thought of someone to blame it on. |

There are a number of options available.
First, don't forget that if a cloaked ship is locked, it cannot cloak. That gives you ways to prevent them from 'fading away'. Their own bubble keeps them from warping away.
Bring in a couple of cloaked Force Recon ships (Arazu, Rapier etc.) with Sensor boosters and warp them to around 100km from the gate. Have a few sniper BS waiting somewhere in system. Have some kind of jammer/EW ship available either covert ops or with the snipers.
Bring in your 'bait' some nice juicy industrial or some such. Perhaps a couple of BCs or cruisers. Whatever their usual target is.
Once they take the bait and uncloak, warp in your jam ship and uncloak the recons and lock as many of the cloakers as you can. The jam ship's job is to jam the Arazu/Lachesis to keep it from Damping the recons. Bring in the BS and snipe away as the frigs scurry. Some frigs of your own could warp in as well.
They key is locking them fast and keeping them locked. As soon as they're locked, cloaking is no longer an option, they have to run or fight. After that it's like any other camp bust op.
May God stand between you and harm in all the Empty places you must walk

... and your focus must be to get multiple locks on one or two targets to ensure this. Then the whole rest of the cloaky fleet has to decide to fight or to abandon. Forcing enemy FC's to make these kind choices is fun.

If you don't give them easy kills, they will likely move on after just a couple days. However, if you are effectively at war with a alliance/corp, they may continue to camp key logistics systems regardless. |

You could also warp in a few smartbombing plated BS and have a ...bomb?
Of course...that may not work depending how quickly they warp away or move out of range, but it'd still be fun to see a bunch of explosions of cloaky ships going *pop*. |

the bubble is the linchpin for their camp. either;
1) remove said bubble forcing them to rely on dictor or tackle
2) move in an 'undesirable' force for them to fight and take over the camp using other people's bubbles for camps is economically sound as well.
never fight the fight your enemy wants, do something they dont like and it takes away their comfort and willingness to fight. |

Destroy their bubbles. Again and again. They will leave when they realize they are unable to tackle anything and are losing millions per day in bubbles.
Also, Blackops hotdrop (supertanked recon w/ covops cyno) will do the trick.

Recons don't actually do a whole ton of damage, bring a EHP disco BS. MWD back to the gate, wait till the pilgrims get in close and disco em to ****, you'll also kill their drones. Laugh as their silly droneless damage tickles you, wait out your timer and jump out. You won't outright kill them but they're gonna be annoyed at the drone losses.
Repeat few times till they either bugger off or bring in the heavy equipment, then spring a trap on said heavy equipment.

If you bring a lone battleship with powerful tanking setup, they will attack it but it will take them at least a couple minutes to kill. As soon as they aggro, you send just a couple smaller ships into next system, then have them jump in and assist you - would take about 40-50 seconds. Once the shooting starts, your enemies are less likely to back away and run without a kill. Then when you got a couple tacklers with you, you send all your other friends in.
The trick is not to send everyone at once. With gradual but steady flow of reinforcements, you can quickly change the outcome of the fight. There would be losses on both sides tho, you have to be willing to sacrifice
