As i posted in GD before it was deleted, i hope this is the right place to post it.

I guess we're a minority when its us white honkeys versus all the rest.  Your thread title is a tad misleading, ever thought about a career as a journalist at one of the big three? They would like your style! 
EDIT: I guess it's not really your fault. The BBC article title, while a little more descriptive, might still lead the average reader to believe white births in America were a minority compared to one of the other major races, not all races combined. |

I'm not bothered about races at all but i am worried about this.
In the UK sharia law is trying to be forced through by muslims etc, in about 20 years time i think it will become reality, due to the overwhelming muslim voters..
I hope this doesn't sound racist or anything..

It's ironic when you look at whose tax dollars are paying for these births.
Given real freedom to keep your own money and nobody getting special treatment, not only would there be no news like this, but nobody would have to care either.
This is what I like about EvE. Everybody has guns and nobody is getting special treatment at the expense of someone else. But hey, the game is developed in a country that just forgave most bogus mortgage debt and kicked out the banksters. Obvious pattern is obvious.

There is a problem with the math of most racial stats, specially in the US. What is a "white" baby? Is an Argentinian white baby "white"? or is it "Hispanic"?
Color, Nationality and Native Tongue are different things. Therefore, white babies are not a minority... "American English-Speaking White Babies" might.
PS: Being a racial/national/linguistic potpourri myself, I'll always be a minority regardless of who's making the most babies :P |

Yeah, Iceland stuck up for itself and kicked out the frauding banks. A good real viking initiative. And why should the people pay the debts of private owned banks?
You are very delusional if you actually believe that the rest of the EU citizens is paying for the debts for others, including the Greece people for instance. You really need to read up on how the banking actually system works, and check some real data on how the money flows.

No, the irony is when religious social conservatives, after fighting so hard against health plans being forced to provide 'free' birth control, realize that a lack of free birth control + low income people tend to have more babies + low income people tend to be minorities + low income people tend to be less educated + minority birth rate exceeding 'white' birth rate = white religious conservatives eventually becoming a minority in "their" country and seeing more of their money being 'redistributed' to social programs (such as more cops and more prisons.)

Being Serious for a second: If the number of mixed race babies include cases where one parent is "white" the numbers would be different.
The argument that eventually the differences will be ironed out is valid, but the pigmentation of the outcome wouldn't be strictly tonal or color. It would be the amalgamation of all phenotypes.
Ideally, the acts of persons would make up the majority of their creed, and it would all be one race. In practice, if you hear a bad joke, you don't care if its made 5.8billion people laugh before it got to you, its a bad joke to you.
Even the squirrels are in a pigmentation dispute and will eventually all be the black squirrel.
As for vikings victoriously kicking out banks and owing lots of money to do so, the first rippple in the mortgage market (not the economy) was a lot of written off debt due to legal pursuance being unavailable.
Money was loaned from one financial regulation set to a country with a completely different financial regulations subset, this meant that the money was not legally repayable in full, and started the whole funk.
Greece on the other hand, I can't help but wonder why the financial implications of the European Union membership weren't explored to the nth term or contingency vs risk. As it is the nation of Greece might have to face a historical account saying they started all things euclidean and then ultimately collapsed a unified continent through financial inadequacies.
I'd love to see the European Union and European Economic Area thrive in an amalgous blob that had all the makings of the, less conspiratory, New World Order: You know the real one where all people had a lower threshold for where their life could fall to in terms of experience and whereby if they fell below that threshold help would be offered to ensure their life did not stand out as unjust or too unfavourable to allow. The safety net.

I really don't mind minorities as long as they don't push the "I'm a minority, you should treat me better" on me. I have a similar stance on religions too.
unfortunatly this stance on it does make me seem like a racist sometimes when I complain about too many minorities getting more than their fair share just for being a minority. this started when I watched 2 natives get a free ride (about $60 grand each when it was all said and done) through a course, then when I checked up on them a few years later, they weren't using this training for anything and were instead just sitting on their government paycheck. |

White births are NOT a minority in the US, they are a massive majority. A portion of the 50.4% are black, a portion are hispanic and a portion asian. They are NOT lumped into one solid group. I hate this 'Us and Them' attitude.
Edit : And does 'portion' just seem like an odd word, or have i just overly used it?....hmm..overly... |

In a different direction of conversation, affluent societies actually are seeing declining birth rates. For instance Japan, which is a very affuent place already has negative population growth. The white population in the united states is seeing a similar trend, as they become more affluent they have less children at an older age. I think this is also occurring in Europe as well.

Indeed. That has really been annoying me, the majority of people I talk to are quite frankly ignorant sheep. Try to even mention anything outside the mainstream media or latest "celebrity gossip" and they stand there like a big question mark. No wonder the world is going to **** when people do not think. But what really bugs me is their lack of drive for an understanding. I grew up in the same system as them, yet I question things, and try to think for myself. Sure I get something wrong here and there, but then I just redo it. But the sheeple, they just sit there and stop the world form actually rising to the challenges facing it.
But at least I do see some hope in the Internet, it has given a lot more people inspiration then previously. Maybe it can help pull humanity as a whole up from the mud, lest we drown in it. |
