I got to thinking about how it might affect pvp and make it the afformentioned frag fest;
How would you feeel if transporting was dissalowed for ammo and weapons?

Thats what ive been doing man and its DULL. I want to go out to 0.0 and if i get podded fine, but i dont want it in the back of my mind that i gotta spend so long preparing for it, and recovering for it....

That's the incentive to not get shot down, I love the investment and added thrill that makes for, if I could be back within a minute fully kitted again I'd be bored out of my mind.

Exactly...thank God you have to think and prepare.
Do you realize how badly logistics and strategy, especially in 0.0 wars, would be mauled if this were implemented? If you had the option of paying for transport solely with money and disregarding speed, manpower, coordination, cargo capacity and geopolitical circumstances? You'd kill a vital aspect of the game, just like that. Like I said, think and prepare.

A small idea. There was something in Earth and Beyond called a "vault". It was accessible at any station, but could only hold a limited number of items for a player. Now, E&B had no other way to store items (except holding them in your ship) and there were no specific volume limits on items, but if a player could put items into something similar to the vaults in E&B, and access them at any station, it would help with the travel. Of course, the vaults would have to be pretty strict and pretty limited, say only useful for transporting ammo and small modules. We can't have players transporting ships all over the galaxy through the use of vaults.

An interesting idea... i would reverse it and say its no good for weapons and ammo but good for all the fiddly things that are 10 stations from each other like armour repairers and so on.
However i like that the idea is generating interest. What do you think CCP?

The logistics of living out in 0.0 is what makes it so challenging. ItĘs not too much of a problem for small stuff, if you have a station with factory slots, you can just build most of what u need. Peeps will also just end up using it to transport rare mins back to empire.

well i used to hunt in 0.0 space in a rupture with my main character and i never used to get podded its all statergy. or why dont u buy the equiptment in bulk rather than flying around all the time getting it..

If you don't wanna fly around for 10 systems to gather all your modules i suggest you find some off the major market hubs that sell everything. They are normally close to the big region gate systems.
If you can teleport stuff from all over the eve universe it would have a major impact on the market. Prices are very different in each region. this would totally kill it. Second agent courier mission would get a little to simple....... Also space travel is part off the game flying in the big empty black void. If you do not like it i suggest you look for a new game because i bet 100% its never gonne change.
