Only logos from alliances that have been in effect for six months or more and have over 150 active members will be accepted.

Because otherwise CCP can't be bothered to spend a few minutes playing with a PSD and then another few to make sure it goes into a patch sometime in the future.

Inflation or not, the alliance is a new corp nowadays. So, requiring it to be actually alliance-sized means that you can't have an alliance with a custom logo for each of your fingers. (Not referring to the OP, just in general.) And before anybody mentions it, yes: There are corps that are alone way larger than 150 characters.

Yes... I'm sure all there is to it is to place the submitted PSD in a folder somewhere on the server

Chribba has done alot for the comunity like eve-files, eve search ect and is respected by the players and the developers. I think he deserves it.

Seeing as my alliance logos are already in-game I think they would stay (feels like more work pulling them out than just leaving them there).
So hopefully they will stick around  |

This ensures that the alliance has been around for quite a while, which means it will most likely stay a while.
It's much better to have something that will last within the game.

But... but... What about alliances with less then 150 people but that have been around since the 2nd alliance tournament(over 3 years ago now)?  Not that we have submitted a logo(yet) ... Well, not like we are allowed either atm, right? |
