I'm wondering how does one deal with Neuts and Nos, because twice now trying to attack a Curse I've been neuted to 0 cap and left to die. I had a tip to use ECM but I really don't have the midslots or skills for it, I use Cap Booster 800's but he can neut it as soon as I use one.
Just trying to see what I can do to defend myself / put myself on the offensive. ---- My Music |

For example! Use passive shield tanked Ishtar or Myrmidon with Drones!

Passive tanked Myrm with drones and projectiles is quit a surprise for a neut boat like a Curse.

Ok now I understand the other post, but really, shields tanking on gallente? I know it's good on a myrm but I'm not really skilled for that, though I can do projectiles.
I can never find a good buffer or passive tank on anything via battleclinic. |

You still haven't said what you fly so it's a bit hard to advise you. :p
Drakes are great Curse counters, but the problem is that regardless of what you fly, a Curse will usually get away due to his Neuts. At best, you can expect a draw. |

Try swapping down to 400's , If its going to be neuted away you want to inject enough to cycle your modules, any more is just going to be wasted. Smaller boosters=more boosts. |

Sorry bout that. I usually fly Gallente, and the last fight I had with a curse was in a Brutix that used a MWD to get close and had dual rep (active tank fail possibly). |

Yeah, that's pretty much the worst possible BC to engage a Curse in. :p
Passively tanked Brutix with scram + web + Cap Booster and some fancy piloting may be able to get into range and do ok, but it's a pretty bad BC for engaging a Curse in.
Passive Hurricane + Drake would both do a bit better probably, Drake in particular if you drop a little bit of tank for a Cap Booster, if you get into scram + web range he'd be toast. If not, you can probably scare him off no matter what.
No matter what though, you won't beat a good Curse pilot as they can pretty much always run away. ___________________

Just a small bit of 2 cents here; If you know that you're going to be neuted, toss a DC on there, theyr'e extremely efficient for what they do. I had one in a WH and it saved my myrm that was on the far end of a 'dictor sphere and was locked down except for a web, thus I made it out ok.

remind me again what a DC is ? :)
What would be the best gallente ship to counter a curse or abitrator knowing they will have either 4 neuts or 4 nos and a hellload of drones on you :) I also reckon those ships will have an ECM jammer or so preventing you from getting a target lock. Im thinking getting up close and use smartbombs ? EMP ?
Tips please :) |

DC = Damage Control Also used: DCU : Damage Control Unit The don't use a lot of cap at all.
At least. I think that's what it means |

Neuts are a big threat to any active set-ups. Probably the only real justification to passive set-ups. Not even confined to the Curse..theres a lot of ships packing neuts effectively.
IMO the only real counters are to 'out neut the neuter' (not really possible facing a curse, unless maybe you are ONLY using neuts/nos etc on a BS lol), or to use ECM. ECM drones can help, but even 1 or 2 ECM mods *might* jam them up. Its one of the things I know I struggle with also on my set-ups...almost feel obligated to include neuts, or at least nos on all the set-ups. 1 nos can keep a point going.
