Sticky? Its alot better then the "best practices for stability" thread.
Brunis maybe you could add in some general computing practices like disk cleanup and defragmentation and how to turn of windows services to boost cpu performance.
Or generally tweaking your video card to turn off antialiasing and antrisopic filtering and anything else that will boost your fps.
Then I beleive this just may be the best thread to get the sticky.

Well the funny thing is that i tryed defragmenting and different GFX card settings but it dident help at all. Only if the settings were at very high then turned to very low did it help.
I look into the serivceses thing right away and update the thread when i have some info and tested it.

Onew of the most useful posts I've read in a long time. Very nice work.
I have the body of a supermodel. I just can't remember where I left it... |

there is also and option to turn on all the anti alias and hardware accel.
advancedDevice=1
stick that in your prefs.ini. i don't know if everyone knew that already.
it opens up a lot of options for new video cards ---------------------------------------
