Just wanted to put out a midsummer greetings to you alla 'pagan' people who still worship
great pond fires and drink alcohol to banish the ebyl demons =)
prolly most of the scandinavian people are going out today to their cottages and i salute you

Confirming we banish demons in Finland by drinking booze
Another pagan ritual is for the young women to run naked at midnight to the meadows, pick a bunch of flowers, which they will stuff under their pillow. This way they'll dream about the man they'll marry
For some reason we also cut down (p. small) birches and tie them in a standing position next to our porches and corners of our house - It's doubtful anyone really knows the reason as to why this is done
tl;dr
The men drink booze and go for an axe rampage, while the women run naked on the meadows picking flowers

Most Danes celebrate "Sct. Hans" this coming Tuesday. Great bonfire with a witch on a broom.
