Deedolit	Posted - 2004.09.18 16:43:00 - [1] HI all I install 2 days ago the new Nvidia Drivers 61.77 and starting eve then..but then when the laucher loading the field of launcher complete in white all buttonsand other white ...so i cant see anything in the launcher window. has anyone a tip for me..i downgrade the drivers for a test to 56.72 ..so the launcher are normal ..but other games have problems then :( (CS takes massives Lags) PS: Sorry for my english, its not the best

I use a old Geforce2 Pro Card ...so i want information for better cards with this drivers ...GF5200 or better.

GF4 4200 128 ,,,I tried 61.77 and 4x other most recent...same problem, white launcher....I was playing with 53.03....thing is 53.03 does not go with every other game....EX: Dawn of War... however, my friends has a GF3 and most recent driver works fine..... go figure any suggestions ?> thanks

Obfuscate	Posted - 2004.09.21 02:11:00 - [11] I use 61.77 on my geforce and dont experience a whit launcher. I am assuming you are using maybe a geforce 4. I have a geforce 3. The only problem I have is that Minmater Stations dont display properly.

Only way I ever found to solve it was to trash the copy I downloaded and install Eve from my friend's boxed copy and downgrade the video drivers to 4523. The downloaded version ALWAYS gave the "white box" error, even after upgrading to the 1754 patch. Dont the developers ever read this, or is this just another place for users to complain and not be heard? I sure hope not.

You can find the older driver download location by peeking around in this category at some of the older threads. I sent an email to Nvidia, they won't respond to me on this issue, and it looks like CCP isn't planning on doing anything about it. I have to install/reinstall drivers to switch games. www.hadean.org

It seems to happen more when the servers have a heavier load? I'm not sure though. Sometimes I'll be able to play for 2 hours, and then I'll go through a string of crashes in a row. Then the next day (reset/restart) I'll play and it'll crash every 10 mins until finally it'll let me play for 30 mins then crash again. I have AMD and Geforce 5600FX ultra... I'm thinking about ditching NVIDIA alltogether, because I have an AMD chip. I don't want to spend the money for another video card though... I wish I could just get this problem fixed. Eve is the only game I'm playing right now besides tetris (which, of course, works perfectly :) Anyone help? Pyro

Both computers are AMD Chips, both computers are using Geforce Cards, the only differance is that one utilises a GeForce FX 5500 and the Other uses a GeForce MX 420. And it is ONLY on the 420 that I get the white screen......

I have FX5200plus, and a Geforce4 440mx. 61.77 Whitescreens only on the 440mx. I found an older set of drivers kicking around and they work on the 440m (at least no whitescreen on startup), so it looks like 44.03_win2kxp_international.exe works. I pasted the whole name as it was downloaded to make it easier to search for, if the 53 cant be found or others dont work.
