The most common insult you would hear from a member of BoB was regarding your registration date. GoonSwarm æs entrance into Syndicate was a direct attack of these ideals. NewbeeÆs only a few weeks old, roaming around 0.0 in frigates as if they owned the place, laughing at anyone who would flaunt their subscription time as if it mattered. This enraged BoB, and they vowed that GoonSwarm would never be allowed to hold 0.0 space... As you all know by now, Band of Brothers have now been conquered by GoonSwarm, and we have seized their corporation. To celebrate our victory in this war, we will be accepting anyone who applies to ôBand of Brothersö. Our skill point requirements are 50,000SP, and you must be at least 1 day old to join. Our office is in Pulin.

Sanguis Lupus	Posted - 2009.06.21 04:05:00 - [36] Everyone knows Goons Scam. Hell they even have an entire forum devoted to scamming "Pubies" as they refer to those who are not "Goons" in game. Their favorite scam is to go fishing in the recruitment channel and convo people looking to join a corp. They ask them if they want to join Goonswarm. Then they tell the victim that they should submit a application to join Goons in game via a freeform contract setup by the scamming Goon of course. In this contract they require the victim to put up some "collateral" in the form of 500 million ISK ( sometimes more, sometimes less ) in the contract. This contract is setup to auto-fail. In other words if either party does not complete the contract the victim ends up having 500 million ISK taken from their wallet. They also use the scam of "hauling" stuff to 0.0 for the victim via fake a service called Intra-Bee. Of course this is just another scam to get a hold of the victims ships, modules and other stuff. They do this to players in game and even to entire corps. Here's a hint folks no one can join Goonswarm in game. The only way to join Goons is to be part of the SA forums for a few years. Goons are basically the polar opposite of Bob/Kenny. They hate and loath new players and scam "Pubbies" for ISK. They are no different then BoB/Kenny and they are no better. This thread is no doubt another Goon scam looking to steal and use "Pubbies" for what ever nefarious agenda Gooons have in mind. The Goon Jihad against "Pubbies" will continue unabated until people realize that Goons believe that they are "cool" kids in EVE who look down on you "Pubbies".

But I get the feeling they're not scamming with this one; you're not joining GS, and anyone who gives ISK or goods to them is an idiot. They're probably just getting people to join, then hunting and ganking them. Which could be kinda fun if you know what you're getting into and enjoy stacked odds (they will know where you are and what ship type you are flying). Probably not worth the effort to join, but a fun idea.

I'm not affiliated to either party but I do have a fairly decent memory, and I remember the way BoB members behaved during the destruction of the hapless ASCN. This was a time when 92.5% of all BoB members* actually believed themselves to be the son of God. The arrogance from them was extraordinary - like they were suffering from some sort of collective brain-disease - and strangely lacking in any sort of humour. Many asked what was wrong with BoB that they could behave this way without feeling any embarrasment for themselves. For those of us who were forced to feel their embarrasment for them, it's kinda satisfying to see them defeated and have their beloved, terribly serious former name get paraded around for public ridicule. *Statistics may be made up --
