Originally by: cosmoray I don't like the sudden change to buyback is only at 90% of value, and you keep 10%.
That creates a big difference in ROI per month. This effectively reduces ROI by 1.6% per month for 6 months. Management fee is now 35%, and divs is 65% You are also stating that you can force a buyback at 90%, then re-sell shares (presumably at 100%).
This means you will be paying at best 4% return.
The loss of capital at the end of 6 months no longer makes this investment grade, please withdraw my reservation
Again he is running this longer than 6mths, so yes if you choose to bail out at 6mths for what ever reason your numbers may be correct based on what we think profits will be.
Honestly I think this could be one of the best profitable IPO's other than MAYBE LOW's atm, but it could also be the worse if we dont set him up for success, meaning a good proposal with actual info in it that he understnad and can actually do.

After 6 months the value of the share should be above the original purchase price due to the reinvesting in the corp.

z'xera, did you see my post? You've incorrectly listed me at 13 shares instead of the 200 I requested.

Thanks for the reply Evalf. I agree that without the intention to end after 6 months the buyback option is right to be at less than the full price, and reinvesting capital in the corp to cover such an eventuality is prudent.
One slight clarification about the 'value' part tho please - with an example to hopefully end ambiguity. Now we agree that the cash reinvestment will increase the NAV and therefore the share price. So say after 6 months the share price has increased by 20% (plucking a number out the air) to give a share price increase of 3m, from 15m at IPO to 18m at 6 months.
Will the buyback at 90% be:
(a) 90% of the IPO share price of 15m (ie 13.5m) (b) 90% of the current share price of 18m (ie (16.2m)
Z'xera - no need to apologise mate, you've already got far further in the IPO process than most people who post here!

I'm afraid I'm going to have to withdraw my request - funds I had lent to a friend won't be coming back in time to buy these shares - I'm really sorry if this causes an inconvenience.... |
