Considering this is an out of game forum, where people expect to be "safe" from scams and trick, some things should be mildly controlled, no one really benefits from rampaging inflation and out of control manipulation, sooner or later it just pops( US recession anyone?).
some control gives the seller the ease of knowing he is selling for a stable price, instead of thinking that if he waits he will get much more, and buyers can actually get what they want, instead of probably having to quit the game.
so everyone wins in the long run, not just the people who sold right before the market crashed.
that is all, a bit of control for long term stability please
and please mind the tone, no one wins for insulting the other, this is the internet, who cares if you won a discussion that made you feel better about yourself, yet we all win if we can find a way to make this a better game.

Indeed. A bonus is that the real life monies garnered from this activity also are accepted for educational purposes.

This thread makes me want to pour a rather silly amount of RL cash into GTC's just to fsck with the market even more, see if OP doesn't come back, this was starting to look good.

Just get some friends to spam the first few pages of timecode bazaar with fake sell orders.
Ex: You post that you're selling a 60d GTC for 600m and have your friends post to buy it.
Manipulating markets is a cornerstone of EVE.

Well there is actually the option to check a price before accepting.
I know it's a pain in the ass to actually read something like price, itemname and so on.
Only way scams work is by people's lazyness to check all numbers and contractforms, too greedy because they are too afraid they miss out on a deal or plain stupidity.
CCP provided the playerbase with more than enough tools to avoid being scammed. If you prefer not to use those tools then you actually also forfeit your right to complain.

He's talking about people posting fake buy orders on the timecode bazaar to drive up prices.

Are you trying to say that the OP should use some intelligence and make an effort instead of just complaining to CCP?
Shame on you Sarah! For shame!
