i resubscribed to eve a couple nights ago, installed the latest client and logged in. a few things have changed, most noticably the ship loadout pane. lots of other things too i noticed.
i thought i would give my new gaming rig a shot at running eve then go from there if i want to stay on or not. it's an i7 920, corsair p256 ssd, 12GB ram, GTX 285, ASUS delux v2 motherboard, new draft N router and adapter. about 4k of the latest hardware. my system is unbelievably fast and there isn't a game out there i can't play on max settings. i mention this because for as much as i liked eve in the 3 other times i've played it, it has always come down to a lag and/or hardware performance issues that caused me to loose months worth of gear or ships. i really like eve, but when a fight breaks out my other rigs crashed or ground down to 2 fps it seemed. there is nothing else like eve out there, so i keep coming back.
i have a couple questions before i really get into it again. namely, i'm currently docked in a paxton industries station in qbl out in 0.0. the last corp i was in was great and is why im there. ive been returned to the dcm corp for no activity in the last 6-8 months, but all of my ships and equipment are in that station, so im wondering if i undock will i be unable to get back in? silly question. i was also hoping to find a corp in the area before i undock. i dont like being so far out in 0.0 with no friends or allies or safe places to do an emergency dock and repair/reload. can someone expand on this delima for me? my caldari has about 12 million sp at the moment.
i play eve for the scenery, the ships, killing rats, hauling loads for the corps ive been in, salvaging is alot of fun, i peddle my wares to make isk, etc. i use dual monitors with vista ultimate 64bit and was hoping to run eve in dual monitor mode if possible, if anyone knows how to enable that i'd appreciate a post. ive always run eve with the lowest settings, so i'd like to max out all video options beyond the scant few settings available in the options pane. if anyone can expand on that also i'd appreciate it.
thanks!

QBL is one of the CVA pet alliance systems I believe. And they are NRDS in Providence. And you'll be able to dock again for a small docking fee depending on ship size (example: docking my jump freighter was 385k).
If you want to get back to hi sec, set a course to Dital, which is an all providence route, so you should be relatively safe. |

There's no in-built support for dual monitors for EVE, so you'll have to "fake" it. Just use the video card drivers and the default operating systems settings to extend your desktop across both monitors, then run EVE in windowed mode, and pick a resolution to fill most (or all) of both screens.

thanks for the dual monitor tip. i'll try it and see how it works out.
i'm really hoping to get back into a corp allied with those in the area. i had some great rat runs out there and finally found a couple ways to make some descent isk. if anyone knows a corp in need of a solid player pass my name along please. i'll haul or run missions or rat for them. after i get back up to speed i can help with most everything else. |

I suggest you join Ushra'Khan or Against All Authorities before you undock. That way you will have safe passage in Providence. |

Here StationSpinner - I'll quote you on some other moronic post you made as part of it applies here:
You idiotic MD troll, read the goddamn rules about posting chatlogs before posting any of this tripe again
Not that you're breaking any of the rules or that this thread is about logs, but I think the idiotic MD troll part fits. |

Best thing to do is look at the corporations with offices in the station, look at the corporations of people in local chat, and chat or message them to see if any are recruiting. Or, send a message to your old corporation (look them up in "people & places") if you want back in. |

You'll be able to get back in for a fee. It's based on ship though so I can't really say how much. If you head back to empire use the kari pipe so you don't accidentally go through -A- space.

Most of the corporations in Paxton, LFA, or CVA have offices in the local outposts, so you should be able to find something with your corp search tool restricted to providence.
