I really think that the Covetor should have its skill requirements changed, specifically to Mining barge level 4.
Most other tier 3 ships in eve are available at level 3 of their associated skill, i find it a bit unfair that miners are left out here.
Currently it's more effective (if one can afford it) to train up for a battleship (Armageddon f.ex) and use that until you get a hulk, since it's only a day or so of extra training and you'll get about 30% more yield and almost 50% more cargo, this just seems wrong...
This would also increase the demand for the covetor, since it's hardly worth getting between retriever and hulk, unless you can't afford the hulk.
I know there's going to be a skill revamp concerning ships soon, but since i don't know the specifics i thought i'd make this post to make it clear.

Yes, they did. As I recall they wanted to get a more natural progression over the barges. Instead of having them all just basically unlock at the same time after Coverter. |

I think it does make sense currently, even though most of my corp members are miners, who have to "suffer" from it.
You fly the Covetor, because you can't afford the Hulk and/or are flying alone and do not want to risk losing a pricy thing like a Hulk.
That's the intention of the thing, that's how people should use it, if you want more yield and are ready to accept the risk, fly the Hulk, if not, Fly the Covetor.

Never flown a barge.. But it'd make sense that the tier 3 barge required level 3 of the skill associated.. +1 |

Miners left out? no hits on search, and in any case i don't want a post covering everything wrong with mining, which most people will just go "TL;DR" at , all i wish for is the Covetor "fixed" and i'll be a happy lil' camper :) |
