Hey Ji, EBANK has some, around 10k or so, that we can part with.

Can you confirm this from your OP as the current list of trustees?
Also, what was their (or the current trustees') reaction time to the new vote? Considering a 24h vote could unlock all BPOs, this is quite a vital role on their part, no?

Originally by: Titans 4U The BoD is primarily there to provide liquidation services in the event of burnout or hit-by-a-bus etc. Their ability to prevent me from scamming the IPO is somewhat limited. If you do not trust me with your isk, do not invest.
Not exactly what was discussed when I asked that question and you responded. Has the role changed now since you set it?

And I understand and accept your response, but you need to make that emphatically clear then. You're currently operating under false pretences having your IPO 'secured' by several respected Trustees.

Bobby, just in case it isn't clear I'll explain my motives further.
You advertise that you have a group of respected Trustees securing this IPO. You don't outline their duties fully in the OP of this thread, your only disclosure of what you expect their responsibilities to be is in a post a I linked previously. However, even you agree that is not realistic, yet you have done nothing to further outline their exact responsibilities. A blanket post regarding trust is not sufficient.
It's crazy how we all sit here complaining about past failures and ****ting on those who failed in their duties yet still set ourselves up once more for catastrophe.
I'm just asking you to be more thorough in your explanation of the effectiveness and requirements of your Trustees.

I'll turn my question to the Trustees then. What do the five of you see as your responsibilities in this set up? Are you securing the investment or just acting as potential liquidators? If you don't think you are securing the investment, then how do you feel about your name being used in a manner that suggests you are (blanket trust statement bull**** aside)?

Originally by: Titans 4U The shares that the trustees hold on their mains are there to prevent me from scamming.
**** me, two pages to get clarification on what was quite a simple question. I think you took my current public image to heart when reacting to the questions, quite a shame considering my vested interest in this expansion.
So only PP responded to the share vote (regardless if it was from T4U or the actual corp). AC155 and Shar were warned prior or during the vote and their reaction cannot be measured. cosmo doesn't have any shares and Kazzac is AWOL, hence cosmo's presence. Maybe you need to see to it that cosmo has shares, considering it is a part of his duties to react to any votes on them?
And excuse me for having an interest in the security of one of the largest public ventures in MD.

Originally by: RAW23 You might want to work a bit on that image then if you recognise it gets in the way of communication. You created it, you can destroy it (maybe ...). You might also want to try answering questions directed at you in the same way you would like others to answer those that you pose.
Thanks for the tip Robin; but remember I'm an old hand at this game, I've been involved in more controversies than your grandma can shake her fist at. Batman out.

Hang them all!
Never mind accepting responsibility for your own stupidity for investing in something that was never secure to begin with and was labelled as such ad nauseum by all concerned.

Originally by: Proton Power 4. This was a flawed system from the start, it was pointed out by many, argued by many, but CCP created the system flawed.
If you thought the system was fatally flawed from the start, why did you lend your name as in some way securing the IPO?
I questioned this several times during the lifetime of this offer. I was either trolled out of town because of my lolbank ties or dismissed out of hand by said trustees (Shar specifically). Ultimately all they ended up doing was enabling this whole mess. Why they agreed to be the name behind securing an infallible offering is beyond me.
All I care is that they learn from this and don't make the same mistake again. They're all basically good people and shouldn't bear the brunt of people's misdirected anger for their own stupidity.

Originally by: Berikath Expecting any more than this of them is unrealistic and unfair to them.
This is not the issue. The issue is that their involvement validated the investment to many of the investors, this should not have happened. The argument was raised again and again that BB was using their combined trustworthiness to gain investment, no notice was taken and here we stand yet again, hands on hips wondering what the **** just happened.
Stop using your name to represent security if you cannot with all certainty secure it.

Originally by: Lecherito Can we now finally accept as a community that there is no such thing as "MD elite," no such thing as "he's proven himself in the past so he must be legit" ? Everyone, *everyone* is a potential scammer. There is no such thing as a "secure" investment. As long as people continue scrambling to fill **** offers like Proton Power's "loan request," these scams will happen again and again and again. To those of you who lost your life savings, tough. Consider it a lesson learned. The secondary market is imaginative, an emo personification of our collective desire to roleplay zomgbusinessmen. Every time you transfer money over to someone without receiving collateral, you're playing slots. And the house always wins.
