Can somebody please explain to me the difference between the powergrid and capacitor. I'm having a hard time understanding the difference. Analogies are welcome :) |

Powergrid is what your modules fill up when you fit them to the ship. If powergrid limit is reached, you can't fit any additional modules that require powergrid.
Capacitor is what is drained when you activate modules that require energy. Capacitor automatically regenerates over time. |

PG is pretty much the amount of power you have to fit modules, and the capacitor is the amount of energy you have to run those modules |

Grid is the size of your car's engine, capacitor is how much petrol (gas) you've got in it. |

Imagine when you fit armour or weapons, you use up a weight limit.
That weight limit is power grid, essentially. Take note that CPU is also a limit. Both CPU and Power grid limit you to what you can fit to your ship.
Capacitor is energy/mana, essentially. It's what is used up when you activate a module. Capacitor regenerates over time. It's optimal regeneration range is around the 30-33% mark. There are modules which can increase the regeneration rate, and there are also modules which can use a type of ammo called a booster to inject capacitor into your ship. --- Grez: I shot the sheriff Kalazar: But I could not lock the Deputy BECAUSE OF FALCON |
