I'm doing an Banner for my corp and I need the higher quality full portrait that I can get. I know there is the option get portrait inside EVE but this options gives me an high quality image but not full, cuting head, shoulders... and I need one full. Anyone know where and how I can get one? |

Nop, what I want is not a full body, but just the portrait in it's full version.
Get a regular portrait from your local data file then get you that you import from in-game, you will notice that the in-game portrait, beside the fact that is high-res, has some parts cutted off |

Right click whoever, hit capture portrait. It'll put a good size picture in My Documents/EVE/capture/Portraits/ folder.
Not sure where they go for macs.

His problem is not the size of the picture, but the fact that "Capture Portrait" CUTS the outer 10-15% of the image. So it's not the size, but the viewing area that is his problem.
On another note, if anyone knows a solution for this, I'd be happy to know as well. ----- Why doesn't anyone ever read the forums before posting? EVE is a game of adaptation and planning. Adapt or die. |

Exactly, I don't need the portrait at full resolution, but something like 600x600 would be great.

The image on your profile page is 256x256.....
I tried the above link, but it does not work with s=512 or s=1024... only s=64 and s=256.
Would be useful to go back to character design and do a screen capture there. Maybe you can ... create a twin alt and capture that. "Ozone is blue and smells faintly of geraniums." (Qi, BBC TV) |

Edit: OP: a 256 version you can get by clicking on your own avatar image in this thread. Its not 600 but not chopped off either.

You need to use the in-game browser, request a character avatar in the size you want, then look through the cache and convert the cache-image to whatever format you want to use.
In short you need to make a html page with this code:
<img src="portrait:1499055281" size="1024">
Open the page with the IGB, then check your cache folder for the newly created portrait-cache-file, open in like photoshop (iirc you need a special converter filter for opening the file).

Just a quick question so I don't waste much time with this - does th In-game Browser go through a CCP proxy, or should putting the web page on my localhost work with this?
If nobody knows, I'll just try it when I get a chance and report back.

Works just great with hosting on your own machine. Go for XAMPP for simply setting up a temporary web server.
