I plan to be L2 mission running with it for awhile and using my destroyer on the side once my fiance starts playing. What's a good fit for the ship? I was curious about an Autocanon fit but it's not very fast so I figure Arty would be better. As far as tanking would I do better to shield tank or armor tank? Eventually my goal is the Hurricane and I will be working towards it but I'm not going to jump willy nilly into it. I wanna do L2's in this cruiser while working my primary and support skills to properly equip the Hurricane. Drone's are another thing I have little experience with. I can fit 3 Medium Drones, which damage type would be best? Right now my drone skills are limited so I will be working on getting them up to at least start supporting my 3 drones over the weekend.
Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated! |

Thumb through the Ships & Modules forum first. Make sure you also browse the assorted web links in the stickies in that forum.

Also look up the website Scrapheap Challenge. It's an alternative forum about EVE and has some great ship setups.

Edited by: Tzar''rim on 26/06/2009 23:51:58 medium armor rep II, damage control, 2 passive resists, capacitor power relay, web, cap rechargers, guns. For guns either use 650mm artie or if it gives you issues switch to 220mm vulcan autocannons. 5 light drones and you're set.

I would advise going arties on the rupture because it is slow. If you want to use autocannons get a stabber. I am more familiar with shield tank and while the rupture has 2 more low slots I still think you can get a very good shield tank for level 2 missions.
Just coming up with this off the top of my head. Depending on your skills you might need to modify low slots (might need to swap gyros for power diagnostics). You should be able to keep yourself in optimal range. I actually run a stabber with a similar set up and prefer it because the speed lets me run through level 2's faster.
Rupture Passive Shield Tank
Highs: 4x 650mm Artillery 2x Standard Missile Launcher
Meds: 1x Large Shield Extender 1x Invulnerability Shield 1x Afterburner
Lows: 2x Shield Power Relay 2x Gyro 1x Power Diagnostic System
