now we have t3 and everything
how about ships that you can only fly by having specefic security stats?
like special pirate ships if you are -10 or special pirate hunting ships if you are +5

that doesn't make any sense, why would you only be able to fly the elite pirate ship if your -10? or the care bear cruiser of the world if your +5?
Where is the RP for that, tbh your plan isn't very well thought out, and I would add something constructive but tbh I don't see a reason for this at all.

I don't care about rp reason so more importantly, where is logic in that ? There never were any magical barriers in eve, why create one ? |

I'm all for certain faction rewards depending on your sec status but that should be like the LP store, if at all. |

Serpentis sidewinder - modified blockade runner -can fit cov ops cloak -ECM bonus replaces tanking bonuses -standard BR cargo & velocity bonuses - no chance of confiscation of llicit goods transported - lockout device: warning! The serpentis sidewinder is given only to the most trusted serpentis operatives. Failure to maintain standing of 8 will result in total system freeze and render ship unable to undock.
Concord sentinel - enhanced frigate -frigate tracking bonus - frigate bonus to all small turret types -frigate bonus to targeting speed double npc bounty awards lockout device: Warning: the concord sentinel is given to the most trusted operatives to bring swift justice to outlaws. Failure to maintain 8 sec status results in initiation of lockout procedures and the ship cannot undock.
You're right. Stuff like that wouldn't add flavor to the game at all. No fun at all.

I think a Status req for a ship is dumn ideal.
But I was thinking when I came in to read this post that more none Amarr/Minmater/Caldire/Gallente ships added to the game and made more avable would be cool. |

Bad idea, because getting -10 is easy, you can get that real fast, proof is a mate of mine who went from neutral to -10 in a day.
Now look what kind of effort it takes to get to +5.
Basicly you would throw in a lot more imbalance.

this sounds like a slightly better idea except how are you gonna get an 8 sec status? |

Let me put this in a context even my 4 year old nephew understands.
If you choose to be a bad person and want a shiny Badpeopleship you can have the status for it in a day. No real effort needed. Et voila, there you have your new Newbee gankmobile.
If you however make the choice to be a not so bad person you have to bust your chops to even get to +5 to get your Goodytwoshoeship. No shortcuts to get to +5 the easy way.
See the problem?
Yes you add some risk to your character if you wanna go -10 but that's your choice. You merely are able to use a shortcut then to get the sec status needed for your Newbgankship.
So basicly you say, "Well I wanna go bad pirate and because I CHOSE to go -10 I should have an easy reward waiting for me"
Work to get to-10 vs work to get to +5.
*KG calls his 4 year old nephew to check the responce and get's flammed for making it so darn simple even the 2 year old could understand* |

If you have one character and reach -5 you become attackable by every one and banished from highsec unless you operate with high agility frigates and have fast loading times.
So getting a ship bigger than a frig once you die at -5 becomes a huge issue, contracting some one to go into lowsec to bring you ships is another issue. I was blown up in a 1.0 system for being -2.3 and tried to contract a local industrial pilot to scoop my wreck for me and they did not trust me because of my negative security status despite the fact this was highsec and I was in a pod.
Achieving -10 means every where you go is 0.0 just without the bubbles. And puts this hypothetical trophy ship at permanent active risk despite the theoretical +5 trophy ship that is only at passive risk of being suicided for profit or comedic value. The time investment does not add up with the risk investment on the part of the -10 player who must also survive in lowsec somehow podding everything in sight to reach true -10.
Work of being -10 (banished to 0.4-0.0, pay's crazy lowsec prices, and no longer protected by sentry guns) vs Work of Being +5 (able to go everywhere and get cheap prices under full npc police protection(or retribution)) |

You chose to go that path, should you get rewards for that besides the lulz at people you gank?

Ow so you choose to be a bad piwate and then you are hugely offended by the fact people don't trust you? I think you need a reality check. Being a pirate or known griefer or scammer will not bestow people's trust into your actions. once again a path you yourself chose to follow.

Achieving -10 is a goal people set for themselves. You chose the path of criminal, should there be an easy reward for that? The whole Sec Status ship is just a dumb idea. Next to that the whole sec status is a crap thing. The onlyu thing it does is close off certain pockets of space once it drops too much or put a bounty on someone once he or she drops to -1 The whole discussion about a ship for the ultimate bad guys or the goody two shoes is void if it only has to depend on sec status simply because of the fact you would open them ships up for -10 faster than +5. Hence my reply.

Risk invested? Heck what risk to get to -10? you must be kinda impaired if you think reaching -10 is something you have to run risk for. I can roll an alt and have him -10 within a day easy without training anything for it. Surviverability in low sec is a path you chose by killing also those that don't wish to participate in your typical playstyle, should they now be confronted with you flying an even better gankship just because you think you deserved it? Any risk you put on yourself by lowering your sec status to -10 is risk you chose for yourself.

Well I am fairly certain people wouldn't mind opening up tradehubs in lowsec systems if your own kind wouldn't blow most of them up when they try to bring goods to your markets. The fact the goods are more costly in low sec might be due to the fact they have to calculate in extra risk to be able to sell them to your kind of player. The amount of LOLZ when a transport or freighter get's killed in low sec never seems to realise it's the same action that made their purchases in low sec at higher prices.
