Edited by: Bellum Eternus on 28/06/2009 05:45:02 Assuming an average price of 175m per T2 fit T1 rigged Hulk, Death of Virtue has killed 168 Hulks to date on our current killboard which adds up to just shy of 30 billion ISK worth of damage.
On the whole, we're way ahead on the profitability front due to loot and protection payments and silly faction fits. Once again this proves that those claiming piracy isn't profitable are simply doing it wrong.
Carebears rejoice. Almost 30 billion ISK worth of destruction adds up to one thing for you: a very active market. More minerals are needed, more modules are needed, more of everything is needed. Pirates are the best thing ever for you greedy little scumbags to help you line your pockets. Some of you might even be surprised to learn the names of some of our sponsors who are promoting the destruction of so many Hulks. Some of them smell decidedly bearish. Are we the Evil or just its instrument?
CCP has continued to destroy opportunity and capability for players to engage in non-consensual PVP and Death of Virtue's recent operations are a prime example of what the game has been reduced to in order to find a way to partake in the most noblest of all activities in Eve: killing players who do everything imaginable to avoid PVP.
Wanting to avoid PVP is anti-Eve. If it weren't for Eve's global scope I'd even say it was un-American. It's just not right. Every effort must be made by every player to stamp out the existence of players that try and deny subvert the founding principle of Eve- PVP.
It is up to every Pirate in the game to take up this cause. Even though we are the smallest group of players numerically speaking we are also the most elite, most intelligent and most charismatic group of players to ever grace the Eve universe. Through our implacable determination and brilliant flying we shall overcome the economic scourge that are carebears and save Eve from certain economic collapse!
Yay Pirates! Bellum Eternus Inveniam viam aut faciam.

For any nubs thinking they can't accomplish this, I'd just like to say this:
Myself and another low SP character were able to down a hulk in cheap BCs (our skills weren't up to downing a hulk in a cruiser), with cheap guns and cheap fittings.
After insurance, we lost about 4.5-5mill per ship. After selling loot, we made a 25mill profit each.
And due to the fact that we are mission running carebears (snort), we didn't take much of a sec hit, I'm thinking I can recover that loss in a week.
In essence, a low skilled carebear can probably down a hulk once a week, make a profit, not take a sec hit, and enjoy some serious tears.

Nice one Sir, I agree it has to be done, even if only hulks. Carebears need to work harder or they get lazy. 0.0 bears are harder to kill, perhaps because of the constant elements working agaisnt them. U can be Elite, yes but u have to move to 0.0 set up a campaign so u dont get bored. At the same time u will also shape up and meet equal adverseries that bite. I salute you in the art of YAARAGE.

I guess I'm just far too subtle for the majority of my readership to truly get the joke.
For the completely simple minded, the obtuse and the inept: I'm being a bit facetious with my hyperbole, but I'm doing so to make a point. Crap, there I go again using exact words to convey my thoughts. Let me dumb it down again a bit more: I'm using big words to exaggerate my point and poke fun at CCP because I'm frustrated and dissatisfied with what they're doing to the PVP/Pirating portion of the game.
No, this isn't 'all' Death of Virtue is capable of. No, we don't 'need to go to 0.0 to find a real fight and improve our PVP skills.' Again, everyone is missing the point.
For all of you 0.0 guys out there: there is a reason pirates are in low sec. 99% of us are bored to death with 0.0. Most of us have been there, done that and just don't care for it anymore. When was the last time you personally put money in your pocket after a fleet battle?
I probably wouldn't be far off to guess that most experienced pirates are currently pirating because they enjoy smaller scale engagements and a more personal style of combat where individual prowess and ship setup counts for more than it does in 0.0 where small ships and bubbles reign supreme, limiting the use of implants and high ISK setups unless it's to run from a fight.
How much ISK did you make from your last Taranis kill? Ask your alliance leadership where your cut is from the dyspro moons that they're mining. If the only way for you to get rich and make ISK to support your PVP is to rat while you live in 0.0, you're no better than a high sec mission runner.
Pirates PVP to pay for their PVP. Everyone else does something else to afford to PVP. How would you rather spend your time? But I digress.
The point is, CCP has done things like this that reduce or REMOVE the opportunity to attack a target or engage in PVP: Warp To Zero, Jump Freighters, Jump Bridges, Buffing CONCORD over and over, adding in Idiotic Pop Up Windows before attacking in high sec , Covert Ops Cloaks on Blockade Runners... the list goes on. Making Eve easier for the stupid doesn't make Eve a better game.
No, this isn't a whine about how I can't get kills. I get plenty of kills. It's a post about how CCP is diluting the core game design to appease the stupid and coddle the r3tarded.
Meh, I'm off to kill more Hulks, just because I can. Bellum Eternus Inveniam viam aut faciam.

Well, 0.0 is not only about fleet battles you know... You are still missing a huge part of eve, but you think to be a superhero. I can only see a "gimme moar easy targets waawa".

In 0.0, you too can have an exciting life fueling POS'es. Otherwise known as Accounting Online.
With the exception of alliance leaders at the top of the food chain reaping the profits, 0.0 is not a game, its work.

I used to be a pirate in low sec, and I used to have the same opinion as you have too, I used to think 0.0 was all about POS's and huge gatecamps, but I was wrong
Solo and small gang can work well in 0.0, although I must say if you want to solo in anything bigger than a cruiser, then a scout is needed unless you take a quiet route or something like that
In my opinion, low sec pvp is very low risk and is very quiet as a whole compared to 0.0, and there's not much adapting needed compared to 0.0, guerilla tactics has a place in 0.0, there's a lot more tactics involved in small gang engagements in 0.0 than low sec
So what I'm saying is, there's the ****ty side of 0.0, ( the gatecamps, the blobs, the POS warfare, and I've been involved in those too ) and then there's the awesome-o fast paced small gang/solo pvp that can be found, I had nearly 900 kills in 0.0 last month, but like I said its high risk compared to low sec, I've lost over 1.7k ships, over 700 on el'tar alone
With that aside, good job with all the hulk kills, I'm not saying low sec is crap, I'm just stating there's a reason some of us love 0.0, atleast the non alliance scale type of 0.0

Amen, brother.
The sad thing is that the majority of the 0.0 POS-spamming "end game" relies upon ice products mined by bots/alts/zombies in Empire, picked up in low-sec and jumped safely (and with precious little risk) to null-sec.
Keep killing miners. Crush the ice belts. Make those suckers in 0.0 pay out the nose to run their little POS networks.

This is your problem btw, you don't have balls to use implants and super-rigged-officier-fitted-and-what-not-uber-ships, becouse you know you are going to die, becouse 0.0 is not made of miners and mission runners and noobs only.
