Ok, most folks might already know this but i will help u out if you don't, like i didnt.
If you take a ship, say a megathron, and assemble it, make active, and rename it Megathron Navy Issue, it appears to be a Navy mega in the trade window. Then sometimes you might find some guy that isnt paying attention and he might buy it for the average price of a navy mega, at a considerable profit to the scammer.
Just trying to help out anyone else who isnt watching what they are doing when trading. USE ITEM EXCHANGE CONTRACTS TO BUY SHIPS.
That said, anyone wanna trade a navy mega for 400 mil. All my contracts are used up, just trade me in Jita 4-4.

You didn't know this? Well then there might be some other scams that new people don't find out for a while, or even older players, until far into their EVE careers. Just send me 300 mil in compensation for these tricks of the trade and I will tell you all about them.

Someone tried this on me once. I was able to tell the difference by just doing the "Show Info" on the item in the trade window. When I told the scammer that I knew it wasn't a mega navy issue, they pretended to act dumb and said it was a navy issue. Reject and block...moving on. 
What's more is that there's a considerable difference in specs between a normal and navy version...so I guess the people who actually fall for this scam deserve it.
