NC cap fleet had just cynoed in and warped on high end Tri pos after a first one down in another system. We had 50 to 60 caps at this point ; mostly dreads, virtually no support. The moment our FC turned siege green, hostile rapier decloacked and lit a Cyno, letting in 40ish hostile caps before dying. Another hostile cyno was lit up on a carrier and TRI/ROL/AAA had at his point a small but coherent Caps majority with our support fleet about 15 jumps away from system. Bell was rung for reinforcements and we had a few more caps incoming in first 5 minutes to be about equal with hostile fleet. After 10 minutes we had a bit more reinforcements. Some dreads but mostly carriers. Finally, friendly support fleet got in about 20 minutes after hostilities began and at this point the risky hotdrop which Tri and friends had tempted seemed to had been contained. Quite a few hostile carriers slowboated inside the Tri Pos and jumped out. On a personnal note, this was my first capfight in a dread and with 0 lag and friendly as much as hostiles dreads getting blown up like they were Battleships, I'm just amazed to be still alive as it seems our alliance seems to have had the privilege of being a bit focused (though this may be space paranona speaking) :) Anyway, nice fight, thanks for the opportunity and better luck next time to our foes (or not !). ps : on a fun note, one of our pilots lost 3 dreads on 3 different characters which got in the fight one after the other. Or if you still play eve, and know how it works, you will realize that TRI dropped on a fleet approximatly HALF their size, and almost wiped the original guys out while the NC rushed people in from five different capital bases with more arriving on every short lived cyno till every TRI+ROL (+a few guest pilots of NYNC's dreads) dreadnaught on the field was dead. The engagement took place at zero range so losses from it are not about skill - they are about dps v ehp modified by lock time. When it was over TRI had lost half their dread fleet - and Nync had lost half of his northern one. Darknesss will easily be able to reimburse both his own pilots and Nync out of his own wallet from the 110 billion isk he earned out of R64 moons in the last six weeks and has squirreled away on alts. Nothing has changed in EVE as a result of this battle. But damn it was fun.
