How we WON by FAILING - A Freeform scam story

my brother	Posted - 2009.06.29 19:21:00 - [1] Hello everyone, I'm writing this to make my scamming profits public, now that freeform contracts are no longer available i don't need to keep that for myself any more . Let's say that, to who didn't try the freeform scam, i'm saying "You don't know what big chance you lost" The trick, for who doesn't know it, was that, once accepted, a freeform contract could be failed anyway by me; if my victim completed it, i just failed it, if the victim didn't complete it and let it expire, i just had to wait for the 24h timer to expire and the nice "FAIL" button appeared , which let me keep the collateral. That's why i say "i WON by FAILING" ^^ I ran mainly 2 kinds of freeform scam: - PLEX scam (from January 2009 until Apocrypha was deployed, making me unable to copy an Item Exchange's layout in freeform contracts' description ) - Double ISK scam (from Apocrypha deployment until yesterday) TOTAL ISK SCAMMED OUT: 105,000,000,000.00 ISK (105.00 Billion ISK) Among the biggest hits here are the TOP 3 SCAMMED (i can't resist showing that, because it's hilarious how much ISK some ppl managed to lose with me ): PLEX Scam TOP 3: 1. Aslord - 2.65 Bil (10x fake PLEX) 2. Mad Nax - 1.60 Bil (6x fake PLEX) 3. prince chamas - 1.40 Bil (5x fake PLEX) Double ISK Scam TOP 3: 1. Velaga - 10.70 Bil 2. Deano666 - 7.00 Bil 3. abiet - 5.00 Bil The total profit is splitted in around 35 Billions on the PLEX scam, and 70 Billions on the double ISK scam . I can just finish my post saying that i can retire from my scam activity and enjoy my ISK with my main characters... I thank all the ppl who told me "No one will ever fall for that crap/bull****/old scam/other" ...and now i leave the scene to my scam m8... here you have... Lidia Mindstealer/Layla Silverwing!

I only scam since march or april, donÆt remember :P I scammed about 95 bil: 15 Bil with plex scamming 80 Bil with freeform double your isk I started the freeform "double your isk scam" some time before apoc came out, with an alt that i deleted. When ccp nerfed the freeform plex scam, after seeing tons of scammer attempting the double your money scam (with "give money") i made 2+2 and created the freeform variation. Maybe it was old and already known, but since i started to play eve at the end of last year i wasnÆt aware of it: i used my own brain :P I would like to thank: -All people with chicken-like logic that made me rich -All people that called me "fail scammer" -All people that has been scammed while trying to scam me -All people that decided to double their money again after being scammed once -All people that i successfully ransomed to ôunlockö their isk Lidia Mindstealer / Layla Silverwing

MeSo ANGRY	Posted - 2009.06.29 21:23:00 - [7] well i would like to tell you all that through freeform contract scam i have made about 1.5 trillion isk. i know its a lot of money but some people are jsut so dumb. i did the double your isk which i made the bulk of my profit for. the fake plex. the fake buy contract. the fake sell contracr. the fake courier contract. this guy doubled his isk 3 times with me. its so lol. now i dont know what i would do with my 1.5 trillion isk.

I used to frown on scamming, suddenly I am tempted to see if he wants to buy Hek IV Krusual Tribe Bureau from me. The money he makes back on office rents should get him back his 12 billion soon enough...

Didn't/don't really have alot of time to play EVE, only scammed about 4-5 hours a week.. if i'd have done it full time could have made much, much more which now I regret now it's suddenly vanished! Had a huge amount of fun freeform scamming, alot of good sports - alot of people who took being scammed, really.. really badly with hilarious results. See my "be every scare big boy,, very" thread. Was the only thing I was really good at in EVE, and used it to fund my main's cap fleet and faction battleships... as I won't be able to many any ISK anymore i'll probably quit (good riddance you ****ing scammer?), and no, you can't have my stuff. I'd estimate it at about 35-40 billion in total that I scammed, the biggest 'winners' being the following.. Cloudd: 2.0 billion DarkonRhoe: 1.6 billion 'doubled' Richard Lynch: 1.2 billion Friedrich IX: 3.0 billion (I accidentally completed a 1 billion contract with him, thinking it was the 1 million 'test' contract - he accepted the 1 billion one and I didn't look... oops... fortunately he was happy to double his 3 billion to 6 :) ) The following characters are mine: Everybruce Lady Cynosural Aduril Jamie Bonnaro Ann Widdecombe (can provide screenshots/logs to prove if i absolutely have too lol)

I have like 600mil on my 1st character which is only about 4 months old. It boggles my mind how people every make 50billion isk. Well if you ever get bored with that much isk, feel free to toss me a few billion so I can buy a high SP char :D I figure with a high sp char I could do some serious mining on another account and still get my pvp fix on my main.

I cant say the title was inspiring, although it does fit with the subject matter. Those are some fairly impressive figures. I was never very good at freeform scamming (and for anyone looking at my contract history, neither of the Lanas have ever pulled one off, don't scam with a well known forum celeb, it doesn't work) so I personally wont miss them. I did manage it a few times even after Apoc was released (so absolutely no formatting) so I find your numbers perfectly believable. You do however realize what you have done by posting this don't you?

With the last patch freeform contracts have been disabled :).
