I've recently returned to Eve after a long absence (about a year).
Prior to my absence my goal was to get in a command ship. After coming back (fortunately I left while ghost training was still possible) I now can fly Minmitar command ships.
I'm looking for a lazy mission running ship (Level 4's) and would like it to be a Sleipnir. For no other reason then my goal was always to fly one.
I have pretty decent Med Projectile Gunnery stats (III Arty Spec / IV AC Spec) and a lot of the support skills. I'm open to training for any setups.
I've looked on battle clinic and searched google but haven't run across any solid setups I like (might have looked over a few at BC). I'm going to start playing with EvE Fit but thought I'd post as well.
I'm really looking for a lazy setup that can blow through them if possible .. haha .. (I know if only I'd trained Caldari!! :/)
I'd really appreciate any loadouts you guys want to share/discuss.
PS: If it can be done with a Hurricane I'm cool flying it as well. I love Hurricanes and they'll be easy on my wallet. :D ... However I'd still like to fly a Sleipnir just because I've been waiting a long time to fly one.

Edited by: Guillame Herschel on 29/06/2009 22:54:54 The Sleipnir can never be a lazy mission runner. It simply does not have the DPS at range to make mission running "lazy" and its capacitor leaves much to be desired for extended tanking. Lazy mission running is best done in a Raven or a Dominix.
Nevertheless, a 650mm artillery setup can be serviceable, but not terribly efficient. Not terribly bad, just not all that great compared to cheaper mission battleships. A medium deadspace shield booster just might allow it to be capacitor-stable, I think, and still rep enough for the big aggro.
[Sleipnir, PvE] 7x 650mm Artillery II
10MN Afterburner II Large Shield Booster II Shield Boost Amp II 2x Invulnerability Field II
Damage Control Unit II Tracking Enhancer II 3x Gyrostabilizer II
3x Hammerhead II 2x Hobgoblin II
Anti-Kinetic Screen Reinforcer I Core Defence Operational Solidifier I

I was afraid of that. Hmm ... I have Min Battleship V so I could go with a tempest or maelstrom setup. I just really don't want to train large arty or AC much right now (Both are on level III).
Yeah if only I'd trained Caldari for a Raven.
Thanks for the response and the setup. I'll play with it a little bit and see what I decided.

Level III Large Artillery Specialization? That's plenty good enough for missions. Even T1 Large Projectile at Level III is good enough as long as gunnery support skills are good (level IV or V). And if you're flying a Sleipnir, you should have good gunnery skills.
Maelstrom makes a good long-range mission runner, and Typhoon is handy for the short-range ones. Tempest is best left for fleet battles.

No not specialization level III, just T1 large projectile III. (sorry for confusion). Almost all of my gunnery support skills are at IV or V. I think one is at III. Might try a Maelstrom then.
