Selling a 100MN Afterburner II BPO
Have no idea what the thing should be worth so I'm auctioning it.
Min bid is 300 Million since I figure I could make at least that much with producing them before I get bored.
Auction will run 3 days and ends on friday 24/9 21:00 GMT (changed from 17:00 to 21:00 by request due to player time constraints)
Please no in-game offers, that would defeat the purpose of the auction.
If any of the above is ridiculous I'd like to hear that as well as long as you tell me why.

1) Just got the sniper rule explained to me (Thanks Morpheus, appreciate it) so I'm implementing 30 mins sniper rule.
2) Already got a 1 bln isk offer from someone who doesn't like auctions so have a better idea of what I'm selling now :)
3) I don't mind posting what is needed to create the item unless the other bidders disagree. If no-one has posted objections by tomorrow 21:00 gmt Ill post the details.

I am definitely interested (since I am making 1MN and 10MN AB IIs already) but your auction end time rules some US players from participating. MOst serious players work after all and 17:00 GMT is right in the middle of their work day, hence cannot bid.
I think 21:00 - 22:00GMT would include anybody possibly interested spanning from Europe to most of US...
Having said that 350mil.
And please post materials needed to make one.

Why would the list of materials needed be important for an auction?
I mean, you know you will be able to sell the items for a considerable profit anyways. All tech2 items do 
It's just the halfway decent corps that don't go for 100's% of profit.  |

Dont agree, cloacks went for 100 or more mil... then some guys got bpo's who couldnt handle to wait for it to sell, it dropped to 70m by these maniacs and lower and lower and lower. Here they were, bought a bpo for 1-2 bil and ruined not only their own market but also that of others doomed to never receive their investment back in reasonable time.

Especially as not having it known what the components are might keep the producers (and so also the buyer)from becoming flamebait as people start yelling again about moneygrubbing ppl selling their T2 stuff at x% profit.
So not having it known might profit the (potential) buyer and having it known does not add to the security for return on investment of the buyer. Cause if you know it, buy it and some other producers start to dump theirs cheap on the market, the knowledge has gained you nothing.  |

Yup, it's sad but true. Didn't want in game offers to save me the effort of having to repeat them here. But in the end what counts is cold hard isk. Getting my hands on it is what the auction was all about after all, I'm not ashamed about it.

I wouldn't worry too much about this. There's still 3+ hours left of the auction and most of the action usually takes place in the final hour. If I were you, I would just state that your reserve is 1b and people can continue bidding (high bid is currently 525m, if I'm not mistaken). Then after the auction time is up, you can decide if you want to sell to the highest bidder or (if the reserve isn't met) keep the BPO and sell it through other channels. Simple as that.
