For those not familiar with the site, WarCry is a media site that contains content on a wide variety of games. They have been running a series of diary entries based on EVE. You could almost call it a running review of EVE, from a newbie's perspective and progressing as the writer gets further into the game. If you've got a spare few minutes, why not take a look at the Diaries of an EVE Addict.

There are more worthy and rewarding sites than Warcry(babies) to do that.

We just came out of one of the "major alliances" a few weeks ago, hmmmm..having 90% of eve hunting you and hearing "fleet commanders" screaming at members on teamspeak is not gonna be good publicity methinks..... Guess which one we came from :P Anyhow, when we find the right group of players, who work together, without smack, who do not insist member corps cannot have private forums and voice comms, then we shall go back to 0.0 in a new alliance. BTW another editor from warcry joined us the other day also :)

Hi, everyone. Thanks for the welcome. I'm glad you are enjoying the Diaries.
They actually weren't intended to inform the oldsters among you. Given my newbieness, I think the best I could do here is entertain  I actually meant these diary entries to help newbs like me have some hope that they too can find their way through the galaxies of EVE...and have fun along the way.
I've noticed that the Diaries seem to be disappearing into the Warcry archives and are rather difficult to find...there are three diary entries so far, and I am hoping to continue them on a loose weekly basis far into the future. To make them easier to find, I have gone back and linked the subsequent diaries to the first one that Kieron has linked in his post...if you couldn't find them before, you can now Just use the links.
As for me, I'm off to find bigger and badder ships. See ya around

Somehow the logs of another diarist got into the hands of the people at Warcry, along with my own diaries. I donÆt know how this happened, but Warcry is bent on revealing, not only MY innermost thoughts and secrets about EVE as a newbie and addict of the game, but those of this new person I do not know, this Vegeta...who styles HIMSELF as a griefer.
After I trained my guns on him and then on the Warcry editorial staff, I managed to extract the information that they are ôgoing to give me a break.ö Get this...I can try and get my diaries back, without them publishing them. They will publish portions of this *cough* VegetaÆs diary one week and, if I am unsuccessful in wresting my diaries back into my own hands, my diary the next.
I am out to blow up the corporate offices of Warcry if I can find them in EVE. Or at the very least, declare war on them! (Someone said they saw them lurking around 0/0 territory near Curse Space. They had better watch out!) Apparently, Vegeta's first diary excerpt comes out on Monday, Oct. 4/04. If I don't get my journals back...my diary will be exposed the following Tuesday, Oct. 12/04. Heads are gonna roll!!!

You do realize that it's horribly tempting for both griefer and Merc corps out there to make Star Tech a target? Just one of the many reasons why EVE-Radio DJ's and Polaris volunteers don't disclose their playing characters.
