On these forums we are always debating on arguments on who is right and who is wrong. We are always making suggestions and shooting them down, always bound to current limitations of the game and so forth. But if the game has evolved enough to support it, what would be your dream change in eve, if any new feature could be added or any thing changed, what would it be?
Me? I would really hope for a more dynamic universe. Take for example Jita, imagine Jita 4-4, after WIS (The 'Duke Nukem Forever' of Eve) comes out, the station managers realize that one station cannot hold the amount of traffic that comes through. So new buildings are added, connected by tubes like so in asteroid buildings you see in deadspace belts. And when walking along these tubes, there are windows all across, allowing you to view everyone outside of the station, and anything that happens. Have a small city that's all connected and expands from it's mother station, allowing more room for players.
And to add to that, more dynamic missions, especially with WIS, having a mission much like ones from Mass Effect to maybe scan a suspicious part of the station for details, interrogate a suspected criminal or war target, or such forth. Adding maybe gunplay (Concord on foot baby, see those cycles come in and arrest you, since podding would just **** you right off).
Or maybe instead of podding, have an incapacitation period much like SWG had when you died. You are dragged off the scene and repaired up in a medical bay. The reason behind this, unlike your now cloud of Ship debris, the station is still intact, and able to retrieve your corps before anything fatal happens to it. This should definately not come without penalty.
I'll admit I really really wanted to just post this, but I knew it will not happen, I just think it would be crazy and since I've been reading up a lot about mass effect 2, I just imagined being able to treck around stations like that, have a lot less static universe.
But please, post your dream changes, I'd keep the criticism to a low, but I know I can't stop anyone. ---- My Music |

I dream for more targets in lowsec, and a reason for them to be there. And for piracy to be more than just ganking week old players. However, on another note, I now have one of those annoying sigs. |

Active Space, Planets slowly orbiting the sun for example. Atmospheric flight having a big part on new Sov changes. Sov. revamp. Updated graphics for space background and planets. Mining from planet rings (and LOD implementation so asteroids wont just "disappear") Mining revamp. High sec and low sec shifting. More 0.0 space (2x more with new sov. system)
I personally wouldnt dream about a feature that will allow you to walk (whats the big deal?) and do nothing else. Sure, playing poker sounds nice, but considering the current game mechanics, I'd much rather have 1 of the above, even mining sounds better than WIS and I don't even have a mining character.
Thats my humble opinion, no offense to WIS lovers.

None taken, I like being able to enjoy a view and WIS can make everythign look massive. Though I would love to just drift a Retriever or any type of ship through one of the planet's rings and just lose myself to sound of mining lasers or bumping rocks.
I'm on of those people who love rain, so planetary stuff and a planet that rains 23/7 and I would never leave it. ---- My Music |

I want to see ships fall and part and bits fall off, not this lame "perfect model + flame effect, then pathetic explosion thats smaller than the ship itself" stuff we have now.
0.0 sec should have more cool random stuff, not this "you must have scanner to do x" crap, anomolies are just glorified missions, how bout we find some random npc faction mini-fleet orbiting the sun or something random (not a great example, but it would still be nice for more variety than "BELT OR SCAN")
Oh and why cant they make missioning + mining fun? I mean making games fun isn't that hard..is it?
I cant really fault PVP though, nothing else is quite as exhilerating in others games (due to risk I guess)
Maybe a nerf to focus fire would be nice to give fleet battles more than just "shoot x, then y, then z" commands..

Remove the doomsday on a titan and allow them to stack two siege modules. It would nerf their tracking so bad they could really only hit other still ships, but would give them 14x the damage of a dread and 4x the tank. Also they can only be built in a sov 4 system, and once one has been built, no more can be built in that constellation under your control so your sovereignty must be reworked to get a new sov 4 system in order to build a new one. _________________

Then make shuttles 1/10 smaller, frigates 1/8 smaller, cruisers 1/4 smaller, and battleships 1/2 smaller. Imagine that!

ID want some sort of Newtons physics in the game I understand they didi it before and it wsnt so great but the game can handle alot more now.
Also atmo flight and battles would be amazing.
But my number 1 would be targeting modules and individual subsytems, and along with that a basic "look changing" package for t1 ships. Because every ship would have some mods, [not every boat has a chevy 350 engine or has the same exact catch rigging] I would want a t3 type system for all ships but not as much performance as custom looks and "named or faction" mods should change looks.
Then you should be able to fire at the subsytems propulsion/weapons would have great chance of hits but take the most damage before they went completely useless, so if you got enemys weps to 60% then they could fire 60% of there weps at you. ****pit shot would be the "HeadShot" with a 1 or 2 shot kill but a high miss rate and gunnery and missle ops would double those chances. It would give a "punchers chance" for small ships. Id love to hit a Geddon whos gate camped me in my kestrel as im traveling to losec 1 out of 20 times and take his health to 50% in 1 shot and have him disengage,of course tones of balancing issues, but they could be worked out.

My Dream Change is.
All restuctions on High sec pos's are removed other then Illigal Drug manufacering and Cap ship building.
Yes I'm talking about Adding in moonmining and Reactions of all kinds that are not in the Druglines.

This, generally. Piracy should be piracy, not shooting occassional ratting (combat lol?) ship at asteroid belt grinding mindless npc's

I agree with BiggesT that damage too the ship should be visual when the armor and hull of a ship gets damaged. Melted armor plates, pieces falling off, gun marks...that would be beautiful.
also i would like to see a major change to the inside of stations. now, you can only see your own ship hovering in a massive emtpy hall. It would be so much cooler if you could see a more realistic image of the stations bay, with the ships of other station guests lined up around you, and your ship staying firmly on the ground. also a small animation of your ship landing would be nice. ofcourse the "out of the box"-ship design in this game makes this a bit difficult... how does a organic shaped amarr ship land?

There are three things that I want more than anything else in this game, in no particular order:
1. *Everything* to be player-producible, from Gist Shield Boosters to cartons of milk. Not saying *how* they should be produced, just that it should be possible. Also that everything should be player consumable/usable. (Hear's to hoping for WiS for that)
2. A stronger and more accessible sense of the solar system and more impactful contribution of its features to combat, movement, and visibility. I'm deliberately trying to avoid being specific here, but what I mean is things like (albeit not necessarily in this particular form): instead of local, some sort of visual at least observable cue for when people enter the system. Reasons to be in certain places other than minerals/moons, i.e. burning up if you get to close to the sun, being hard to spot/scan when you're in a dust cloud. Some sort of residual and observable trail for people who have recently entered warp, or ships that have recently been destroyed. And the like.
3. Stronger effect/sense of story in the game. For instance, having those station peddlers be triggered by certain events and have them actually carry stuff and go somewhere. Concord patrols that actually patrol for small scale semi-random events that one can interfere with. And the like.
