A little bird told me about Tech2 ammo comming soon(TM) .....Can someone comfirm this or is it just bull ? If its true then i did not wast 3 weeks getting the skills for the guns..

I hope it isnt mandatory for the t2 guns. I just hope it is just better ammo and that is all. Hopefully the new ammo will be able to be used on t1 guns as well.

t2 guns take t1 and t2 ammo
t1 guns take t1 ammo only
this is the big advatage of t2 guns over t1 and t1 named.

There will be advanced cristals along with T2 charges/shells/missiles, but that's probably post-shiva stuff.
They're listed on the Eve-i database, but the stats are very outdated.
Hybrid charges doing EM damage in addition to thermal/kinetic
Lasers cristals doing explosive damage
Projectiles shells improving the tracking or rate of fire of their guns.
Also, every T2 ammos has maybe a 20-30% increase in damage at equal range.

Presumably the ammo for hybrids and projectiles will be split into seperate types for blasters, rails, autocannon and artillery too.
Also, I wouldn't expect to see any tech 2 ammo or crystals out until at least after the tech 2 missile launchers - can you imagine the uproar from missile users if the gunners got another set of goodies first?

I wonder what the prices on those ammos will be. I'm pretty sure that you have to hate that guy pretty much to waste t2 ammo on them, reminds me of a standup with Chris Rock.

oh yeah, that was a good one... and in theory, prehaps cut down on pirates randomly ganking people? nah, that'll never happen  personaly though, i like the idea, finaly a true purpose to maxing out your gunnery skills from here to Ubar. |

Just found ...if u look at the new tech2 guns, it says charge group : spesial hybrid ammo...... :)
Soon(TM) there will be new ammo.

i hope ccp is very carful about the kinda power they give t2 ammo. It shold give an edge, but it sholdn't make t1 compleatly obsolete. Somone with t2 ammo and gunnery skills at 3 should still get beaten by somone with t1 and gunnery skills and 4 and 5 for example...

I believe it's been mentioned that T2 amo is Shiva, and possibly manufactured in POS only...

You have to have specialized gunnery skills just to use them (i.e. Large Projectile 5 to get the Large Autocannon Specialization for example)... So you situation wouldn't (shouldn't... couldn't?) happen...
