I don't think I've ever come across anyone who thinks the Mega or Domi are terrible for PVP. They are awesome PVP ships.
The mega is a ok fleet sniper, but atm large blasters suck.
Domi is very overrated for its solo ability. It works, but drones as primary dps is problematic in many types of gangs.

This is so very wrong it amazes me that so many people thin like this. Get some named guns, they're nearly as good as t2 and while they do a bit less DPS (<8% usually) for the most part in eve if you're in a gang of more than 10 people your being there is barely relevant, let alone that you're doing a tiny bit less DPS.
T2 Siege launchers and mega pulses are arguably the exception to this, but both are still very much useable with t1.
T2 long range ammo....
In addition to the 8-10% rof and 5% damage.

Someone who can't use t2 isn't going to spend 30-50 mil on mods, try like 10-15.
Saying that they cost as much after fittings to lose as t2 cruiser is either very ignorant or very stupid. Especially after the price jump of t2 over the last few months, a fully fit BS (even one with rigs) will cost less to lose than an unfit t2 cruiser by a lot.
If you are talking about best named as someone did earleir in this thread its often more expensive than the t2 mods. So unless you go for meta lvl 2 mods you end up with same or more cost for mods.
But yes they are cheaper to lose than t2 cruisers.
