I have trained mining level 2 twice tonight and each time it completes I get an E-mail sent to my inbox saying its now trained to level 2 but when I check in the skills screen its still at level 1.
Please can anyone shed any light on this for me?

Ok I have tried relogging now and I have 2 bars in the skill progression bar but it still says "mining rank(1)". Thanks very much for your help, but do you have any more ideas?

Rank (1) refers to the amount of time (sorta like difficulty level) it takes to train up to the next level. 1 being the lowest, 8 being the highest.
The levels are shown by the little blocks in the bar on the right

I had the same thing yesterday, but with navigation lvl 3->4
Had 32 minutes left to train it so started it off, it completed and I got the skill completed training e-mail.
Opened up my character sheet and it was still at level 3 saying 32 minutes to train. Started it off again and logged off and back in.
Then had 32 minutes to train to level 5! Let that complete and got another mail telling me I had lvl 4 again even though the bars said lvl5 ?!?!?!?!?!?
Logged off and back in again and then finally had lvl 4 navigation trained and displaying ok..
